Cain's already signed up to fight Minatauro Nogueira in the UFC's first trip to Australia at UFC 110 though. Reckon we'll see Mir-JDS first if JDS gets past Yvel.

No they won't because I don't think they will even fight soon...
Velasquez is fighting Nogeuira
JDS fighting Yvel
Depending on when Lesnar is going to be be back I wouldn't mind seeing Carwin fight Mir if it is going to be too long a wait. Or I think it will be Carwin getting the next shot and then Mir vs JDS.
The next title contender imo should be the winner of Velasquez vs Nogeuira. I think Mir has to wait a couple fights before he should get another shot.

I'd go with 8... Cain is a decent fighter, he just has some growing to do. He's going to be serious business in a year or two. Really depends on how he does against Nog though. I think Nog is going going to trash him if he comes in healthy :\

I would like to see mir vs Velasquez just because cain seems to not really hit that hard however controls his opponents very well. I think it would be a good test to see if mir's cardio has improved which has been questioned in the past. Also you could see what kind of answers he has for a guy with a strong wrestling base.

The HW division pisses me off so bad. All hype.

Mir beating Kongo after Cain demolished him has ppl revved up....
I guess that win vs Werdum is impressive, and a loss vs a nobody isnt impressive. Cain hasnt lost yet and has stomped a mudhole in every person he has faced.
I think Cain could take Mir down and work him til his newfound mass makes him gas.
Obv Cain has no power, he has only stopped every opponent he has faced outside of Kongo.... you dont need 1 shot KO power to TKO ppl.... he also has a chin and ever improving standup that will surprise alot of ppl, including Mir himself.

Agreed, Nog will definitely unrail the hype train. I see Nog easily rocking him on the feet, he might not even have to sub him. Why would a purple belt try to take NOGEUIRA down? Cain's wrestling will be useless in this fight because he won't want to hit the mat with Nog, and his standup is nowhere near Minotauro's.
The unfortunate thing is that Nog's top 10 ranking means it probably wont bump Cain off the top10 list.

Velasquez will take the fight to the ground. Whether or not he can avoid Nogeuira's submissions I am not sure.
Lesnar isn't even a purple belt BJJ fighter and he didn't hesitate in taking a black belt to the ground... That is what wrestlers do, then they just work to try and avoid the submission while working towards a GNP finish or a decision. That is what Velasquez will do as well. Unless he is winning the stand up in which case he may try to keep it standing but I think he will take him down.
