Mir's 70 second destruction of Kongo > Cain's three round mauling of Kongo

I think it will be in intersting fight but it looks like Mir is fighting Carwin then the winner of Cain/Nog for Interim. So it could happen soon enough.

Nog barely beats Big Timmy... cool, not that impressive

Nog gets embarrassed by Frank Mir... he is old. thats not the same Nog we all know.... he was sick, he was a zombie, he almost died 40 seconds before hitting the ring.

Nog beats up an ever declining Randy Couture.... Oh he is back baby, he gonna make a title run....

yawn

One of the most overrated fighters right now, living off alot of past glory and mostly beatdowns he took and pulled a sub outta his ass when HWs mostly all sucked and had no ground game whatsoever and the new breed are gonna expose him, im patiently waiting. Refer back to this thread in a few months

I like how somebody mentioned Cain is only a purple belt in BJJ.... yea... and??? Some of the best ppl at nullifying BJJ are.... wrestlers and there is no doubt he is a top level wrestler working with a top level camp AND he has a pretty good working knowledge of BJJ... i dont think this kid is gonna be easy to sub by any means. Watch him train. Dude has thrown around Rogers and trained with Machida and gets nothing but rave reviews from everybody..... i wonder why?? All these fighters and trainers dont know as much as the ppl on this forum i guess....

Poster above me... what's your point?? A KO is more flashy and devastating but when you beat a man down for 3 rounds theres also no question who is better. Either way a win is a win to me, Cain doesnt have that 1 punch KO power it seems, he doesnt need it imo

Fact is he took 2 or 3 massive shots from Kongo and didnt drop and recovered very fast, i dont see Nog being able to rock him standing, i think that will be the surprise of the fight, Cain is a better all around striker, watch out for it

Also, let me add for extra neg points, since ppl love to give em for opinions... name one Mexican fighter that has a weak chin...... yea.... ill wait...

Well I guess it depends on what you define as better. I mean 70 seconds is better then 3 rounds but then Brett Roger beat AA quicker then Fedor did. So does that make Rogers better? No, that's right you do have a point.

On the other hand though does going three rounds and not being able to finish mean he is better then Mir just because he proved it?

The real answer can only come with time I guess.

EDIT: Also I did not neg you nothing wrong with expressing yourself but to claim there is a genetic link between having a good chin and being Mexican's is crazy.

For sure, Mir is very experienced and unlike what i think of Nog, i think Mir is on the rise. I think ppl are looking past alot of can wins and piss poor performance wins Nog has had against not so great guys and thinking he can still do that, JMO

Personally, i much rather my boy Cain face Nog then Mir. I think Mir will do the same thing to Nog again if they fight also btw.

hehe UFCFAN it may be crazy, but seriously, name one with a weak chin?? Warrior ancestry baby, we really believe in it our will is 2nd to none imo but of course im prob a bit biased ;P

IMO Carwin is the most hyped heavyweight in recent ytime. The guy was BARELY able to hang with Gonzaga, who caught him thus giving him the victory. not that impressive to get a title shot. Like stated before, I'd say Velasquez & Cigano are neck & neck for a title shot. Frank Murr should fight Carwin to see if Shane should really be deserving of that title shot he has.

Carwin is going to get raped by Mir that is almost a joke fight. Mir vs JDS would be ******* epic I want to see that.

I like this.

Mir vs Carwin

JDS vs Velasquez

Winners fight for the title shot.

I think Brock is down for a while and should make sure he is 100% healthy. Time to vacate and crown a new champ and I am thinking it will be JDS. Although I'd love to see Nog in there instead of Carwin but Carwin works.

He is the Brazilian HW Kick Boxing Champ and has a brown belt in BJJ, 25 years old and has a 77 inch reach...he is the bomb!! Love this guy. Wait...alizio, let me save you the time, amigo, I know you believe Cain is the better man, which is all good...but Cain may be in trouble vs a JDS or a Mir.

LOL
