Frank Mir Vs. Cain Velasquez
Should the winner of this fight, get a title shot against Brock?

But what about Carwin? Either way its gonna take a long while for a few people to get their chance at Brock.

Who the hell has Velasquez beat that could POSSIBLY warrant a title shot? Infact, who has Carwin beat? JDS beat a top 10 guy way more impressively, infact the top10 guy he beat had just crushed the guy Carwin is now famous because of. Argh.
The HW division pisses me off so bad. All hype.

Carwin got the shot first,, so just do Nog vs MIr II, shane vs Velasquez..
Then let the winners fight eachother for the interim titel or the title shot..

Agreed. Carwin's all hype, none of his performances were actually that impressive either, just happened to finish well with 1 good punch. JDS has beaten Werdum, Cro Cop and Struve, 3 guys overall that are on a higher level than Wellisch, Wain and Gonzaga.
I do agree with the hype around Cain Velasquez though, he's got good wins over Kongo and Rothwell and is more deserving of a shot than Shane Carwin I think. I'd say him and JDS are pretty even, and I'm happy to see Dos Santos given more time to work on his game and improve before he gets a title shot.
I'm happy to see Velasquez vs Nogueira for next shot, but following one of those 2 should be either JDS or Mir; if JDS beats Yvel anyway. There are definitely some good prospects in the HW Division, I don't think it looks anywhere near as weak as people make out. Lesnar, Nogueira, Mir, Velasquez, Dos Santos and Carwin are all legit HW's.

Cain is ridiculously overrated. He has little poswer in his hands, snd, as a wrestler, he's susceptible to Mir's submissions.
Mir 9/10 times.

Mir should fight again right away and not waste all of his training. A fight with Cain would be a huge test for both guys.
It makes sense, because somewhat of a tournament could be made of this, and the other contenders. (Nog, JDS, Maybe if Duffee keeps crushing guys he will spring up to the front of the line in a year or two)

Any reasoning behind this, or was this simply a random thought that floated through your head?
