UFC Belts

How many physical Belts has there been?

Not as in Weight Classes but as in the actual physical belt?

Didn't the UFC Change the style of belt went Zuffa took over? I remember the original one having the man on it as in the old logo.

Just interested to find out.

Also, what's the score with the Interim belts, do the have interim on them or are they just the same and say "Ultimate Fighting Championship" under the bit that says UFC.

Does each belt detail the weight class on it? It looks like they are all the same and does and champion get to keep an actual belt if they hold it for a certain amount of time?

Lots of questions, but just crossed my mind.

Big Thanks to KryOnicle for the sig!

The only believed 100% answer I can say to all that is that yes, the fighter keeps the belt, if they lose a new one is given to the champion and they do not have to hand theirs back.

thats not true, Tito ortiz said that you have to defend the title twice, then you can keep it.

This is pretty difficult to find out.

Tried checking on Google etc but it's not usually something looks for!

I'm interested to know about the Interim belts, I presume they are exactly the same - but would like to know for sure.

Also, some of the older belts have plaques to be inscribed on either side of the main panel, so that suggests that they used to move between fighters?
