I would love to see Wand crack the iceman. But with Wand's looping punches and his eagerness to just stand and throw, Chuck might connect like he did with Belfort and drop him.
Hopefully not though........

chuck was not impressive tonight

i mean c;'mon.. tito almost rocked him.. and so did babalu.. those are literally c level stand up fighters,...

i think shogun would make a destroy liddell.. nevermind wandleri
You dont know what your talking about. First off Chuck has been constantly talking about Wand he has been on the radio and every interview he does. So just read MMAWeekly and Sherdog a little and you would know that. And Tito never almost rocked him. And when you go in with a gameplan of keeping someone from taking you down you can't open up like you would like to. It's called a gameplan. Also Wand has looked slower and unimpressive recently not Chuck. Chuck has been knocking everyone out. Wand nearly had his head removed. The fight i would like to see is Shogun VS Liddell. Cause liddell would knock wand's A** out.

I wouldn't count Chuck out of a Wandy fight. Chuck is a counter puncher so I think that the over-aggressiveness of Wandy would play to Chuck's strength of odd angles and power when he's backpeddaling or in weird stances. I just think that comparing the way Chuck fought against a grappler and a wrestler is not a good way to compare his gameplan against a striker on his level. I would be confident that he would keep his hands up and be very patient with Wandy because we all know he wouldn't have to be the aggressor. I think Chuck would run into trouble if Wandy got him in a clinch and started throwing those knees knees...

But I still think this fight could go either way.

As for Babalu nearly rocking Chuck... I thought that as well when I first saw it. He rushed Chuck throwing punches, Chuck backed away from the flurry and then landed a heavy hit to knock Babalu to the ground. I thought Chuck was in trouble when Babalu rushed him as well. But when I saw the slow motion replay, I saw the opposite. Chuck didn't look worried or scared, he had a calm expression while backing away from the flurry and waiting to land a big hit, which he did.
Babalu rocked him in the first flurry. Chuck did regain composure when babalu rushed him after that wierd uppercut punch. AS for chuck beating wandy. Wandy is to good in the clinch wandy would own him.

I'm a huge Chuck fan and can't stand Wandy's flailing away style. I have made several posts in regards to how bad I think Chuck would beat Wandy up. I have started to feel differently. The reason I'm starting to think Wandy would win is because of his swarming style. I just think that a counter-puncher like Chuck can't counter quickly enough and ends up being overwhelmed by the constant flurry of punches, kicks, and knees. Cro-Cop was able to destroy Wandy because Cro-Cop is a natural HW and was able to overpower the smaller Wandy. It would be a freaking awesome fight though. I would love it if Chuck beat Wandy up as badly as Cro-Cop did.

He has a small shot but wand would get the clinch and rain blows down on chuck. Flailing style? He throws punches like chuck. Big loopers. Wand is just to fast.

If Chuck was gassed, Tito was panting. It's amazing how they make such a big deal about he conditioning, but Chuck was just as fresh if you ask me.

Since when did Chuck almost get rocked by Babalu? Renato ran at him swinging his arms like a gorilla and got KO'd for it.

How often have we seen Chuck KO someone after he was "almost" rocked? Tito and Randy (twice) hit him right before he put their lights out. That's why they call him a counterpuncher.

I'd love to see Wandy/Chuck. Would be one hell of a fight. But so will be Rampage/Chuck. I agree Chuck needs an opponent with a chin who can trade with him.

I agree 100%.

I think most of the people that are counting Chuck out now or have changed their mind didn't even realize how smart Tito was fighting last night. This time Tito didn't keep walking into Chuck like he did in their first fight. He stood back and let Chuck come to him and he tried to counter-punch Chuck. Of course, when Tito finally did go down in round three it was because he got impatient and tried to slug with Chuck. Tito was controlling the pace of that fight the whole time.

I'd still choose Chuck over Wandi.
