The UFC screwed him out of his rematch with Silva, and they weren't going to let him stomp Belfort again(thankfully). Nate would be a great fight but that didn't look like that was going to happen.

Other than that he wouldn't be getting any big fights. He faces legit competition in meaningful matches on a huge stage now.

And how is Shields too small? He may not have the talent to beat Hendo but size isn't his problem. Henderson has made a fine career out of beating guys bigger than him, which is why a Fedor fight would be competitive. Hendo would obviously be a huge underdog but he would absolutely come to fight.

How are people confidently saying that Hendo isn't worth what he was asking for? Do we even have any idea what his demands were? As far as I know, the only info we have is Dana White's claim that Hendo wanted to be the highest paid fighter in the UFC.

Anyway, I think this was a smart move by Strikeforce. TUF and the Bisping KO have made Hendo pretty well known to the casual fans. I think he will bring in people who have no idea who Fedor even is.

I'm surprised how many of you don't find Dan exciting. Myself I loved him since Pride and in the UFC he did good. His fight with Rampage was an exciting fight and he almost won if he had done better in the 5th round, and his fight with Palhares (spelling) was exciting to me.

Then there was the Bisping fight and I'm sure the fight with Nate would have been GREAT, pun intended. The only fight he had in the UFC that I thought kinda sucked was the one with Rich, not to much went on and I left a bit disappointed but other than that he's had fairly good fights!

Now on to Dana. He's an ass clown. Also you guys who say Dana did the right thing to get rid of him because he didn't want to pay him more than any other UFC fighter, you're just repeating what DANA said! You really think I believe a thing Dana says! Dana is a dick and an ego maniac and he'll say whatever he has to in order to make it appear that he's doing the right thing for his companies image, even if it means he has to smear one of his fighters.

I'll take Dans word over his, when what Dan said closely resembled what Frank Shamrock, Tito, and most importantly Randy Couture have been saying for years...."RESPECT US MOTHER*Fu*ker!"

So I am happy Dan is in StrikeForce now and he's got some good matchups. Even though I think he'll beat Shields it's still a good matchup and think his wrestling will quickly nullify Shields wrestling and ground work and his standup will simply crumple Shields in half.

He's got other match ups such as Cung Le, Scott Smith, Mousasi, Diaz, and also Fedor. I don't think he'll win against Fedor but it'll still be a fight I'd want to see if he wins all his other fights. He's got a snowballs chance of winning with that right hand but in hall honestly think Fedor will destroy him.

At first I kind of thought it sucked but now I kind of like the idea. Everybody knows Dana's a dick, I seriously doubt Dan wanted more money than any other fighter in the UFC. The UFC dicked Dan over by not giving him his title shot and the money he wanted. I hope this really comes back to bite Dana on the ass. Like Dan going his whole career in Strikeforce without losing and causing Dana all kinds of what if questions from the fans and media (ala FEDOR).

Dan wasnt getting dicked over with his title shot. He didnt deserve it anymore then Nate did. It would have been unfair to give the shot to either of them ahead of each other (actually, Nates last three wins were all at middleweight, Hendo beat two middleweights and fought Franklin at lightheavyweight).

Poetic justice is that much sweeter when it comes via a fighter Dana wouldn't work with kicking everyone's ass in another promotion.

I really dont think that people will be making a big deal about this after a few PPV's..Dan was exciting sometimes but we all know he wouldnt have beaten A Silva and it wasnt like every time he was on aPPV card people were jumping up and down for joy because they got to see Hendo. Its just meh...Hendo is fighting cool. Than again, thats just my opinion.

It sucks Hendo probably isn't going to come back to the UFC, I was hoping he would move back up to 205, there are alot of really good match-ups for him in the UFC's LHW division. Hendo-Rogerio, Hendo-Machida, Hendo-Shogun, Hendo-Rashad, Hendo-Forrest, Hendo-Tito, Hendo-Jones.

What would have been really unfair is if he didn't give it to either. Wait Belfort got it one fight into the UFC. But I really thought Nate and Dan should have got the shot over Belfort (who Dan's beat). But I do see what you mean he wasn't dicked but he did deserve it more because he did better against Silva and had a better chance of winning imo.

Dan did get screwed especially when the president of the company tells you that you are the next in line in a press conference.

Look at it this way: It's like I'm your boss and I tell you in front of the entire company, "Joe Blow, I like your work and the last project you did, so I'm giving you the promotion with a $15k bonus."

Then some other guy does a great project a week later and I turn around and say I'm going to give it to the other guy. (and as wookie said, it's not like he gave it to the guy you were competing with within the company, but he gives the promotion to some outsourced guy who just walks in and takes the job.)

So Dan did get screwed but I'm over it and waiting for his fights in SF.
