Not a good contribution, you didn't have to open the thread.

Based on they way his body looks at WW, the a better chance of him moving up than down. As people in this thread have stated, there is talk of GSP making a move to MW. I do not know how accurate these statements are as I have not heard or looked into it yet. I would like to see him go to MW!

GSP said himself he has been gaining weight, he used to walk around at about 186/187, but hes about 195 right now. Cutting that extra 15 pounds of muscle would just about kill the guy. There's no way he would do it.

Why the hell would he want to lose the weight be weak and enter BJ's world? That is plain retarted, if anything he'll try to make MW for the GSP vs. Silva superfight!

NO!
He walks around at 185 and he doesn't have an ounce of fat on his body, cutting to 170 must be hard enough for him. No way could he make 155.

well if he drops down who would he have to fight the same guys he fights in the WW division that just gain weight from the LW division? (BJ Penn & Sean Sherk)

God no. The guy barely makes 170 nevermind going to 155. If he did ever go to 155, he'd get demolished by Penn at his natural weight class.

I don't think so, he wouldn't be as strong, but I think that he is just a better fighter than Penn. His stand up is much more versatile, his wrestling technique is incredible, and he has a very good ground game. Keep in mind this is hypothetical speculation. I don't think GSP could ever make weight. I just think that GSP is a better fighter.

Just my opinion

He didn't want any part of BJ's ground game unless he was greased up.

Finally, someone got it!

Exactly. It would be hard, but he could do it and no doubt dominate the entire division, including Penn. He would become less powerful, but much quicker, and was already quicker than BJ in their bout.

However, I don't think he really cares about getting two belts. Seems every fighter is obsessed with this but GSP. I really hope he doesn't move up to MW. The pressure is mounting, so unfortunately, I think it's inevitable. But I really hope the guy just dominates the WW div. for the next 10 years.
