As much as I feel Penn, GSP, Silva and Machida cant currently be beat... ( lesnar is a bit fooked so I guess he doesnt count )
... I also find it very difficult to believe that all of them will also maintain their belts for the whole year. the question is, who?

I know the whole Rua vs Lyoto rematch is hanging, but if Machida wins, then we're back to square one as nobody else is close.

My money is on GSP. Dunno who will beat him, but I gotta pick someone.

+1 to the idea that this thread should be bumped throughout the year.

Machida gets mad, and beats the hell out of Forrest or anyone in his way.

Jon Jones gets a title shot, and possible wins.

Anderson Silva will beat everyone. Unless he fights Shogun or GSP. I dunno if either will happen, so its likely he remains a demigod.

GSP cant wont lose in 2010. Even if he fights Silva. He will likely fight BJ again. And will win a decision, but it wont be so lopsided.

Josh Koscheck will become a big fan favorite, and finally get his title shot.

Jon Fitch will fall out of top 5 ranking.

BJ Penn will win every fight at LW and remain champ. He will beat a top WW, but lose a battle to GSP. He will go back down to LW, and stay there and dominate.

Tyson Griffin emerges as the 2nd best LW in the division.

Edgar's size will cost him. He will make the change to FW.

Fedor remains undefeated, Dana will still say he isnt a top HW.

Randy Couture will retire.

We will see FW bouts at UFC events.

Cowboy and Varner come to the UFC.

WEC gets rid of LW division.

Strikeforce will stay relevant and have some good shows.

UFC will be on a major network by years end.
I agree with all, but I hope Randy doesnt retire!!! Thats just hope, not really what is best for him. Everything else sounds great though. Hope it happens.

Big Nog beats Cain.

Mir defeats Carwin and Big Nog to become the undisputed interim HW champ.

If Brock comes back he will fighr mir and lose

Kimbo Slice will have 1 or 2 wins before being seriously tested then he will go on a losing streak and the ufc will cut him late 2010 or 2011

Lyoto TKO Shogun in the rematch.

Rashad KOs Thiago Silva, and Rampage and is next in line for machida by the end of the year.

Forrest Griffin will lose a fight but also win some aswell.

Chuck Liddell vs. Randy Couture happens again

Tito becomes a gatekeeper or cut

AS remains undefeated, TKOs Belfort and Nate.

Wanderlei wins against Bisping

Dan Hardy loses against GSP
Kos will get his shot at the title, and lose again.
Alves will beat Fitch and anyone else he fights then lose to GSP

BJ remains undefeated at 155

Premium Fantasy Fight League 3rd place

Nice assessment of 2010! A crystal ball seems to imply that you would pick some things that aren't obvious though :P

It's a step up from the BOLD prediction that Mir would Sub Kongo in the first round though!!

But,I'm just bustin' balls.

I hope all of this stuff happens, because it doesn't involve injuries.

As long as Randy is willing to go out and make money for Zuffa, and they are willing to pay him, he won't retire.

as of what ive seen through my experience, i feeel that forrest can pull a decision on lyoto machida... i dont think he would get TKO'd by lyoto at all. forrest griffin usually has great game plans, and as we saw from the shogun fight, shogun exploited lyotos weakness towards leg kicks, which forrest is exceptionally great at. maybe forrest would lose, but i dont think he would lose by tko... it'd be closer than you think

Nog beats Cain. Then either Carwin or Mir beats Cain. The hype train ends.

Mir becomes interim champ. Brock vs Mir III is set, but gets delayed.

Kimbo slice is given another can fight at 215. He wins. Then he is given a B level fighter and gets creamed.

Roy Nelson loses his UFC debut.

Rashad Evans decisions Thiago Silva. He then KO's Rampage. And then gets scheduled to fight Shogun.

I cannot decide who wins Shogun vs Machida II.

Chuck Liddell decisions Tito Ortiz. Tito then loses another fight and is cut, being winless since 2006.

Forrest Griffin wins one fight then gets TKO'd.

Little Nog goes no where with his career this year due to his not wanting to fight the champion.

Luiz Cane loses another fight and gets cut.

Nate gets his undeserved title shot against Silva. He is KO'd in the first round.

Vitor Belfort magically KO's Anderson in round 3 and Joe Rogan doesn't believe it. Then Joe Rogan acts like Vitor is god's gift to existence.

Wandy murder's Bisping and 10 million more gifs/images are made.

Dan Hardy gets submitted by GSP.

As the UFC struggles to find another contender, BJ Penn is allowed to step up again for GSP vs Penn III, which draws a significantly less PPV rating than their second fight. GSP wins via decision.

Amir wins one more fight, then loses.

Akiyama makes a WW debut after deciding that the MWs are way too big for him. He does not stop another robbery due to sexy.

Kenny Florian tries to claim rights to another title shot but no one cares.

Roger Huerta quits.

Maynard gets TKO'd by BJ Penn.

Diaz talks a lot of garbage and begs for a title shot, but loses to a returning Diego Sanchez before he can get one.

Frankie Edgar loses in round two from death by BJ, and then drops to FW.

Torres reclaims what is rightfully his.

Attero Dominatus.
