After his destruction of Diego I don't think there's anyone in the UFC who could beat him. The only guy who I think has a chance is Aoki and only if he can get BJ to the ground. I'm not even sure about that, BJ might sub Aoki and kill the hype.

worst gameplan? what did you expect him to do. everytime penn came in close he'd throw bombs that if connected would most likely end the fight. kenny was banking on penn gassing from being pinned against the cage, but obviously penns gas tank has greatly improved since his ww days. it almost worked for kenny because he was arguably controlling the first 3 rounds, if he made it to a decision who knows what the judges would have scored it.

penn will be a huge favirote against anyone in the division, theres pretty much no1 who could beat him right now. maynard will be interesting because he actually packs quite a bit of power. i doubt maynard will get the fight to the ground though so this would be a boxing clinic for bj.

what the division needs is a standout striker with ko power and good to great tdd. penns boxing is top notch, but its his power that really makes a difference.

Noone at LW can come close imo.

Edgar and Maynard are'nt good enough. Florian, Diego, Stevenson, and Sherk all got schooled and a rematch with any of those doesn't appeal. Tyson Griffin isn't ready, needs a couple more big wins.

Even Aoki would'nt do well imo. How is he going to get it to the ground and could he keep it there if he does, I don't think so.

I don't like the decison from his team, that he should defend his titel 2 more times. He proved already that he is by far the best LW on the planet. Let him go up again and give us some interesting WW matches

Shinya Aoki ... we NEED this match (even though I'm aware Penn may still destroy him).

You could clealry see how that was gonna go from there last fight, every time Kenny tried to strike, BJ made him pay, BJ is just the more elusive, more accurate and powerful striker. As for the Edgar fight well, that is a fight I want to see just to measure how far Frankie has come, I have alot of trouble seeing Frankie walking away a winner though considering that he has a very fitchesque problem with finishing fights, Edgar with power would be interesting but if he cant finish the fight I don't see him going 5 rounds with BJ especially with a BJ capable of going 5 good rounds.

The only person who can beat BJ right now is himself. Anyone who doesnt give him the motivation to train will be his downfall. Last couple of fights, he had serious personal issues with Kenny, Diego, Sherk... Once he gets a fight that doesnt motivate him, and they come in with a good game plan and out cardio BJ, they will win. Thats how he loses all of his fights (hughes II, GSP I, Machida...)

i think Edgar still has 3 more dominate matches until he will be a viable opponant, Maynard the same.

Tyson is a little farther behind than that.

Right now the only enemy BJ has is TIME: it will catch up to him like all others, but other than that i do not see him loosing in 2010... we'll see how 2011 looks later.

and this from someone who cannot stand BJ.... i bet against him all the time and still hate him but acknowledge that he is formitable.

I can honestly say that I could'nt outrightly name anyone who would beat Penn in the LW division right now. He's just too well rounded and skilled and there's absolutely no one who looks like beating him. He's destroyed every number one contender so far.

I love watching B.J. whomp these contenders. It shows his LW domination.

It also shows the difference in his game compared to other LWs.

I think he should stay at LW and destroy at least 4 more fighters to further build his legendary status.

MMA fans forget very fast so he needs to continue for a while.
