Frank Mir: Brock Lesnar may need to be stripped of the UFC heavyweight title

Quote:
"If (Brock Lesnar) is going to be out for that long, should he even hold on to the belt at all? The interim title works if a champion is not able to defend his belt within a year-long period, you know he's going to be out eight, nine months, you make the interim belt than he comes back after a year but as of now his last fight was in July. If he's out a year from today's date that's a year and a half and at that point, I don't think you can hold the belt ransom. They gave me about a year when I had my injury so I've been on that side of the coin and I was more than happy to relinquish the belt because I felt kind of selfish that I really couldn't do anything with it. I don't how successful he's going to be coming back. That's going to be a question over his head for a while. It wasn't like he was a slick, technical fighter to begin with. A lot of his style went upon his brute power and strength. If Brock Lesnar is unable to put on the same kind of size as he had before ... I don't think he's going to be very successful as a fighter at 245."

Mir was stripped of the title, if Brock is going to be out for awhile theres no reason to keep him champ.

**IMO** brock doesn't have enough time to cycle his steroids and gain his strength and muscle back.

When you get as big as he was you can't just sit in a hospital bed and keep all that massive slabs of muscle size. I bet brock has already lost a ton of muscle mass.

Mir is probably juicing right now, and he is smart to do so. If u look at him in his last fight he basically gained 20 lbs of muscle and got leaner, since the btock fight. That isn't the way the body works, you only get those type of gains when you cycle, unless you are a complete newbie to lifting weights which mir isn't.

Although I do believe in muscle memory and do believe if brock starts lifting and cycling again he will gain it back very fast, i still don't think he will be ready to fight in 1- 1.5 years.

and if I upset anyone about the roids comments, I really don't care it's my opinion

Yeh...I have noticed that giving one's opinion or making an observation (such as the very likely possibility that Mir is roiding) results in insecure people neg reping because it disagrees with their world view or it is not PC. I think the whole reping think should be disabled, basically it is a cowardly way to disagree with someone.

Viva la rouge!!!

Its not an opinion. Someone is either on roids or not, its not subject to opinion. A proper diet and the right strength training program will do more wonders than most people think. You don't have any solid evidence or even enough bullcrap evidence to support your claims. Mir has been looking a lot better physically since 2007. Thats nearly 3 years of taking his training and career seriously, which is why we've seen his body and his stats change quite a bit.
