Arlovski held the fence
Did anyone else notice that at the end of the fight, Arlovski was holding the fence for an extended period of time, with out the ref calling him on it. Not to say the outcome would have been any different, but the other guy (forgot his name) was trying to roll him, and his holding the fence prevented it from happening.

Yeah I noticed that. Herb Dean did a terrible job of reffing that match. Grabbing the fence in a situation like that is instinct, and its the refs job to stop it.

Yeah, I just watched it again and was like OMG. But I don't think Ped Da Pano would not have gotten the roll for the leg lock anyway. But it wasn't fair.

Why did Herb tell them to both stop fighting and stand up while they were lying with each others legs wrapped up. After Cruz argued, Herb let them stay on the ground and Arlovski took advantage.

boo
Herb Dean isnt a bad ref. The guy wanted to stay on the ground because he knew how hard it was gonna be to get Andre back down. No harm, No foul is what Herb decided. He was gonna stand them up because you cant kick to the face on the ground in UFC...
Thats like someone kicking the other person in the package, and the guy who got kicked saying "Its fine. Im okay".
Unfortunately for my homeboy, he got his face smashed in.

Herb Dean is arguably one of the best refs. So he ****ed up in one fight, big deal. I'm sure he was looking at Cruz to make sure he was alright and wasn't able to look at where Arlovski's other hand was. GET OVER IT!
