Concussions in the UFC

There has been a lot of news/talk about concussions in hockey lately, and some pressure on the NHL to look into the issue. Some guys have pledged to donate their brains to science to help study it. We all know what has happened to some guys in boxing after decades of taking shots to the head. Does this have any implications in MMA? Does the UFC have any responsibility to look into studying any long term effects of head shots, or is that none of their concern? How many concussions actually happen in the UFC? Basically I'm wondering if you guys think this has any relevancy in the UFC (or MMA in general).

yes they happen in MMA, but not as much and MMA fighters dont get as many shots to the head as Boxing. So for MMA you can just use boxing stats, it is a combat sport so its going to happen.

IF u dont want them make all fighters wear headgear ? lol it will still happen. just the way it is
