What's next? The Undertaker slamming Brock Lesnar in the WWE to show how weak his TDD really is?

HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!! NICE!! I love it! That made my morning.... To funny.... But i agree with "Most" here, im a BIG Aoki fan his ground game is AWESOME to watch... He does all types of crazy Sub's, but like all his wins are in Dream.... We NEVER saw him fight the calibur UFC has to offer, and plus Aoki without his PANTS! Thats like Super Man without his Cape! IT WOULDN'T BE RIGHT! He wouldn't do crap with his Asian Mass against 90% of the UFC's LW division, he should go to StrikeForce or WEC with the feathers, I think Aoki vs Miguel Torres would make WAY more since....

He can not say "if he was a big 155" or "if anything". The fact is he needs to be competing at 145lbs. He is not a 155lb fighter. Any talk about a "Natural 155" is BS. If your "Natural Weight" is 155..Guess what? You should be fighting at 135-145. THIS IS HOW BEING AT THE TOP OF ANY SPORT IS. Its about tiny edges.

The facts are:

- Aoki is an exciting fighter with an amazing guard. He has potential to do great things.

- He is not a top 10 LW figther. He would get crushed in UFC. He needs striking and wrestling in mass quantities.

- Here is 7 UFC 155 guys above him.

1. Penn
2. Sanchez
3. Florian
4. Griffin
5. Edgar
6. Maynard
7. Sherk

- Here is more guys I would like to see. Tell me what u think.

1. Clay Guida
2. Jim Miller
3. Kurt Pelligrino
5. Spencer Fischer
6. Sam Stout
7. Joe Stevenson
8. Nate Diaz
9. Matt Serra

There is 16. I seriously think he can no way beat the first 7 and the last 9 he MAY win 5-6.

Thoughts?

I don't think you can make that comparison - Brock is a massive heavyweight with incredible speed, athleticism and superior wrestling. In addition to his scary ground game and takedowns, he has proven that he has pretty decent hands too. He mixes it up, at least from the 5 MMA matches we have seen him in. Aoki is the type of fighter that is extremely good but he's only good at one thing.

Lets look at Damien Maia - his BJJ was good enough to rack up wins against some decent fighters in the MW divison....until he faced Marquardt - a top MW.

I do think that Aoki could get past a lot of guys in the LW division, but he would never be champion because he's only really good at one thing.

I understand your comparison but this situation is a little different bc Maia is relatively new to MMA. He has a lot of learning to do.

I dont see Aoki maintaining a record like he is in Japan bc Joe Silva will not feed him any cans.
