5 rounds. If it is a main event, there is no reason it should only by three. If you've earned a spot on a main event, you should be able to handle the cardio.

I voted 3 but make it 5 if it's a #1 contender fight.

Ps. you shouldnt have included '4' as an option in your poll imo.

Of course this takes all credibility away from title fights or would you like if they were 7 rounds????????

If there is no title on the line it should be a 3 round fight.

It has some votes so it has some credibility. I included it because sometimes 3 just doesnt seem enough, and some folk believe 5 rounds should be title fights only, so 4 is a compromise for said people.

The only problem with 4 rounders is that we will probably see a lot more draws which doesnt bode to well in my book. And I am going to assume that others would agree.

It works out fine just the way it is. 3 rounds for non-title fights, 5 rounds for title fights.

I think a lot of people were just in need of more action in a fight. Last nights fight wasnt all that exciting till the last 2 minutes.

I voted for all main events being 5 rounders simply because it's the simplest version of what I would like.

IMO, the UFC should firmly declare certain matches to be number one contenders matches. They always say things like: "he might be ready", "he's taking one step closer"... grow some balls and say, "if this guy wins he gets the champ". The only time I remember Dana saying that recently was Hardy/Swick.
I even think you could make those statements when there is technically a number one contender already. Case in point, Shogun. He gets his rematch, and in tern, the next shot at Machida, nothing will change that. So why not say "The winner of Rashad and Rampage gets the next shot." So that now becomes a 5 round fight.

Anyway, my rant is over.
Hope you enjoyed,

While all of that sounds nice, the UFC doesnt really pay any attention to rankings when making fights. They base fights more or less off of marketability then what the rankings say. #1 contender seems to be the guy that will draw in the most fans not who deserves the title shot.

I think they should be 5 rounds too, we've seen it time and time again where fighters scrape the first 2 rounds then just hang on for the 3rd to steal the decision. 15 mins is just not enough for the elite fighters of today IMO

They should make them 5 definitely! A Main Event whether titel or non titel fight shoudn't really matter. 4 rounds would be nonsense!
