I hate Yvel, something about someone who KO's a ref doesn't sit right with me.

Yeah well Mir didn't use his ground skills at all.

I think that Kongo would take this fight if they were to fight again. Yvel looked like crap against JDS and I think Kongo would work him over and catch him. Although if Yvel lands like Mir did I don't think that Kongo will be tapped, he will still be asleep though...

Gonzaga has only ever beaten Crocop - who JDS also beat - and he was crushed by Werdum just before Werdum got crushed by JDS. The fight just makes no sense. JDS should get the winner of Mir/Carwin, definitely. DW said at the PPV that if he won he'd get to fight for the title in his next fight, but who knows.

Yvel's loss against JDS is sort of irrelevant right now IMO. Watch how much damage he did to Barnett (ranked #2HW at the time) and how long it took Barnett to finish him. Then look at his beat down of Rizzo and his 7 fight win streak before Barnett.

I'd put a lot of money on Yvel if this fight happened.

I dunno. JDS proved that a technical striker can really give Yvel some problems. Kongo is a very good Kick Boxer. But then again Mir just crushed Kongo. I am not saying for sure that Kongo would win. I just feel like I am leaning more towards Kongo at this point in their careers.

Yeah I'd be interested in seeing this fight as well. I think yvel would win as well but hopefully any UFC jitters are gone by then. But if Congo loses a 3rd fight in a row he might be on the chopping block.

I'm so annoyed at how sh*tty Yvel fought this weekend, I don't even know who to pick. Were he to fight Kongo like he did JDS, Kongo would own him.

C'mon guy, re-watch the fight (I posted it in the no n00b section). Yvel looked great and ready to go until JDS tagged him hard in one of the very first exchanges. Then he realized he wasn't winning the exchanges and didn't know what to do, since his only game plan was to trade. A minute into it Yvel thinks he gets a good shot in and gets more confident and looks like he did in the beginning, but then he gets rocked hard again, and then he gets KO'd.

Yvel would likely look the same against Rizzo (who btw alizio is a big opponent you seemed to have skipped that Yvel destroyed) if he fought Kongo.

As soon as He lost I thought the same thing. Yvel would take this on the ground as Mir showed Kongo's standup aint top notch. After watching Yvel v Goodman again I dont see Kongo winning on the feet.
