Rashad didn't really want to engage. It was pretty obvious he wanted to keep Thiago on his back.

The only thing that was sad about that was he didn't really have the ability to GNP or submit from dominant positions. Even a mount.

Thiago outstruck Rashad in the third in a pretty embarassing manner.

I have no arguments that Rashad won that fight. I scored it for him as well, but TBH it was a close call for him and not as clean cut as some of his most recent outings.

In the end not every fight can be a beautiful KO victory some victories are grinded out.

I've never been a Rashad Evans fan. I'm even less a fan after seeing him fight Thiago. Thiago gained a fan in me lastnight for the pure showmanship.

But in the end Rashad won that fight.

I hear ya, I all most left your post out, but it seemed one sided enough to be such. Respect.

He sure used it well yesterday. Had the mount, had him against the fence, numerous take downs. No one is arguing about him being well rounded, doesn't mean he uses all of those skills. He used his LNP to win, whether you want to admit it or not.

I am starting to wonder how well Rashad will do against Rampage. Obviously the wrestling technique worked well against Silva but I don't see it working that way with Rampage. But Evans did fight the right fight to pull off a win which is what he ultimately needed to fight Rampage. Can't wait for this fight. Does anyone know when it's suppossed to happen?
