Does Paul Daley have an History of missing weight?

What am i missing? I've seen a lot of posts on the forum saying that Daley is too big for WW, that he's going to miss weight again, etc.

This is the first time i've heard of him having weight issues, i am just misinformed or are people just jumping the gun on the situation.

I even heard that was stuck up in travel which prevented him for doing his proper cut.

As far as I know this is his first time missing weight.

People are overreacting a bit it seems.

Now Rumble Johnson is a guy that has missed weight more than once. He has even missed weight once by like 5 pounds. Which is horrible, but he is probably the biggest WW out there next the Thiago Alves.

I actually don't think Daley is a big WW, he isn't Rumble/Alves sized and I don't understand why he would miss weight.

I've been following Daley for about two years, basically meaning I've seen his last 7-8 fights I think and this is the first time I know of him missing weight. He is definitely in the right weight class, he may be a thick WW, but he would be a small MW.

The dude is a WW. There's no excuse for missing weight.

Well, until the Weigh-ins are done the day of the fight.

Weigh cutting will be an important part of the sport, and thus ensuring a proper cut is key to a fighter's sucess.

Fighters foreign to the location of the event can be at a disadvantage, though it's still their fault that they didn't plan it better and arrive into location the week before, it's their job anyways.

He got stuck in Washington, and lost 2 days. Had no equipment and was heavier than he wanted to be when it came to cutting for the weigh ins due to that.

He's said why. And I doubt it will happen again. This is also the first time i've heard of him missing weight.

Usually I don't have much sympathy for people who don't make weight, but there's no way he could have anticipated the security crackdown on people entering the US. Plus he was only off by a pound anyway, I'm sure he would have made it if the commission had given him a second try.

Yeah I don't mind him failing it ONCE by 1 pound. If he does it again it'll bother me and Im sure Dana and the gang will think twice before giving him a title shot too if he keeps missing the weight.

Just compare him with guys like Lutter, Alves and Rumble:
-Lutter failed to make weight in a freakin title match against Silva after winning the comeback show of TUF.
-Alves Tested positive for banned diuretics that he apparently used to help cutting water weight more easily, then couple years later failed to make weight.
-Rumble missed weight by 5 pounds. I can't remember anyone in ufc missing it by that much before (Filho missed it by 7 pounds in WEC though)
