Yeah exactly. He could be selling a small stake as a gesture more than anything that will give them an invaluable connection in a new foreign market.

Until I hear more I'll just assume it's a negligible amount of the UFC. I still don't agree with it though. Why would the UFC put fights on in the middle east? I can hear the news now "UFC event bombed" only they mean it literally. Like those rich b*st*rds need any more of our money anyways. Way to F*CK UP Dana and Fertita's. Sheik probably paid in the form of a lifetime of free gas.

Dude do some homework. Its Abu Dhabi not Iraq. Its a beautiful place a lot like Dubai. Its not like Dana is planning UFC 112 in Gaza.

To be fair 49% would be a minority share also

I'm sorry to sound racist or whatever but it seems like they could have seriously found somebody better. That's all I was trying to say.

It makes sense if you understand the role ADCC has had in the growth of grappling and MMA. The sport wouldn't be where it is today if not for ADCC.

Sorry I guess I didn't realize that there is such a following for mma in the middle east. Ignorance on my part. ADCC? Abu Dabi Combat Championships? And I'm definitly not racist towards middle easterners, I loved the Karo judo throws, not only that I would have a tough time where I live. About 20 miles from me is Dearborn, MI with the highest percentage of middle eastern people in the U.S.
