Urijah Faber needs to beat Mike Brown

I was a little pissed off last night hearing Faber saying he cant wait to fight with Aldo because he's so exciting etc. Well in my opinion unless he beats Mike Brown which he's shown he's unable to do so far then he shouldn't be anywhere near the title picture.

Sure he brings in the ratings and has alot of fanboys, but that alone isnt enough to give him title shot after title shot, It really bugs me when fighters overlook others in line. Anyone else agree?

100% Agreed. But, I can see why they would give Faber a shot first. Most (casual) fans would rather see Faber vs Aldo first before seeing a Brown rematch right away. In all honesty though, either way it plays out, it will be for the best.

If Faber wins, Brown gets the next title shot, Faber vs. Brown 3.

If Aldo wins. Either we get Brown vs. Aldo 2 . . . or we get Faber Brown 3, then winner gets rematch.

Personally, I don't see Faber defeating Aldo. So scenario 2 is more likely.

I'm no Urijah fan boy but I dont mind him getting another instant title shot. He's the biggest name in the WEC and the WEC needs exposure as an up-and-coming promotion.

Also something most people fail to realize is that Assuncao is a top 5 FW and Urijah just beat him with relative ease.

Last point, I don't feel like seeing Brown/Faber for a 3rd time in a row. At this rate, we're gonna have Brown/Faber 5 by the end of the year lol..

I agree, Faber is the next logical fight. He lost, was injured, in the meantime Brown fought again and lost, therefore Urijah, after having a non title fight, is next in line. But I'm expecting Brown's next fight to be Aldo anyway, we may not see Faber/Brown 3 for some time.

Im a big faber fan but im having a hard time seeing him beat Aldo. I am torn on the subject of Brown vs Aldo 2 or Faber vs Brown 3. I dont think that brown should get a rematch after beating 1 good fighter but not a ranked or top contender after loosing the last fight to Aldo. Faber did just beat Raheal who was ranked. I think Faber will beat brown if they fight again but there is the argument, who wants to see 2 guys fight 3 times? In the end id like to see Faber get his chance at Aldo. If he wins Faber vs Brown will prolly be the next. If he looses it will be a toss up but there def the top 3 guys at 145lbs.

I really don't see Faber beating Brown. It will be a good fight against Aldo so I really don't see the problem. Everybody will get their shot at some point.

Agreed. Raphael was no slouch and Faber tapped him out. Raphael is a BJJ blackbelt and a great one as well.
