That would be me! I had no experience with pride other than youtube vids recommended by reading posts on forums like this one. Those vids showed a very different thing to what I saw against Machida. The beserker had transformed into a cold assasin. Machida must have been thinking, "what the feck is going on!? This aint the dude I prepared for.", as he ate each kick to the midsection and legs.

Thats why I now love him. He is an artist who can adapt. Any body fighting Shogun from now on knows they better come in with something new otherwise they are f*cked.

Why do you say something like that, thats just not true?
I am such a huge Machida fan, but that doesn't mean that I have to pick the don't care option. Why?
I also Love Shogun same as BJ, GSP, Mousasi and so on but my heart will always be with Lyoto. Lyoto can go on a big losing streak and? I would still love him like I do now, he will always be my favourite.

If you are a real fan you can't just change bandwagons...and if you do or did at some time, then you never really supported or loved this specific fighter!

Wow, I new everyone had Shogun manlove (or woman love in some of our cases), but he has no one who dislike him on this forum thus far. That is awesome.

Forum Bets: 2-0

Way to COMPLETELY misunderstand my post. Many Shogun fans on here stopped talking about him after his terrible performances against Forrest and Coleman. Then once he fought Machida, loads of people hopped back on the bandwagon. Not everyone did this, but a lot of people did. And even then, I never said it was fact. It's my opinion. If it doesn't pertain to you, then don't say anything.

I think there are a lot of people who don't consider Shogun one of their favorite fighters, but they still love watching him fight. I am one of them. I get your point and all but I think that before the Machida fight, a lot of people would have still said yes. But I do agree that a portion of the "yes" answers were due to the Machida fight.

And I agree. But I just feel (AGAIN, it's an opinion for those who can't understand that) that a lot of his fans abandoned all hope for him after those fights. They abandoned him as fans and it's seems pretty obvious. And I know that most people like to watch him fight, but a lot of people didn't enjoy watching him gas and were claiming that he was done. But seriously, I don't mean EVERYONE.
EDIT: And I don't want you to think this was directed at you in a negative way. I'm just explaining why I feel that way.

Oh I am sorry I did missunderstand youre post

I know that many ppl change bandwagons just like that, but those are not really true fans of this specific fighter. They just like the fighter because he is on top now and after a loss the jump off.

You're 100% correct, Fans around here are very fickle. There was a tremendous amount of shit being talked about Shogun prior to the Machida fight. Then he wins one fight and all of a sudden he is the most loved guy in the world.

He deserves it though the guy seems very nice and down to earth, hard to find that in a fighter these days.

I've always loved him, but as many have said before me, I do wonder how many people would "hate" or more would "not care" before the Machida fight.

Couldn't have said it any better myself.
