Exactly. It's not like we don't get entertaining fights without them. What, elbows ain't enough now?

Khoveraki, do you know what a concussion is and how you receive one?

Getting kneed and even punched in the face/head does enough damage let alone the extra force a guy can get behind a head stomp. The temple is a very sensitive spot and a stomp that landed right would very likely kill someone.

And you are wrong in thinking most fans just want blood. People don't watch MMA to see people try and kill each other. This wass pretty damn obvious by the uproar created from the blood at the UFC event in Germany.

People watch MMA because they want to see the best fighters, this can be done without having to endanger peoples lives. It is just like boxing or wrestling etc.

More fans = faster legalization. I live in NY, trust me.

I know plenty about concussions and I think you're wrong. Casual fans don't watch MMA to see who the best fighter is, they watch it to see brawls.

Disagree? Who's rated higher in ratings in the US...

Kimbo or Anderson Silva?

Kimbo or Maia?

Kimbo or Shogun?

The US casual fanbase wants violence and realism. Fast paced, hardhitting, quick ending fights.

Once we have great, fastpaced exciting fights (not that we don't), we'll have fans in exponential numbers flock to the sport and legalization comes naturally.

So would you still watch pro MMA if all fighters had to wear head gear, leg gear, and heavier gloves? I think not sir...

I just think that MMA has plenty of fans as it is and there are plenty of great fights that happen all of the time. There is no need to incorporate things like stomps. MMA is growing just fine as it is. It is venturing to new states and countries.

And of course Kimbo will be more popular. Everyone knows who he is because of youtube. Yes he was a brawler, but nowhere in his fights were stomps or kicks to downed opponents legal either.

Make Kimbo a PPV main event and you will find out that he isn't all that much of a draw. Sure he brings in fans when it comes to free television but the casual fans that watch TUF etc aren't the ones that buy the PPVs.

And brawling is much different then stomping on someones head. I do agree that brawls like Forrest vs Bonnar etc are what people want to see but there weren't head stomps or dangerous elbows in that fight. There were just 2 guys punching each other in the face, that is what people want to see. Many people don't like seeing the dangerous head stomps or even elbows etc.

If you are going to allow head stomps you might as well allow fighters to eye gouge, groin shot and break fingers etc.

Awesome standup, good ground, solid conditioning, great fighter, and always comes off as classy.
