out boxing Sean "Short Arms" Sherk does not put you on BJ's stand up level! The guy is going to have big problems with BJ!

I dont see frankie going go out there and beat the hell out of BJ but ill tell you this, he'll give it one hell try.... Frankie is a hard worker and great strategizer (randy) ..As personal friend of frankie, I can say BJ is the best LW in the world and is not losing any time soon (@ LW) but im so excited that my boy is facing the champ and he has got to top of the LW mountain ....Good job Frankie ..Ill be rooting for you

Edgar, Maynard, Godzilla..., none of them will beat BJ. I think Maynard would have the better chance because of his size and strength. Edgar is a tiny 155lber. That being said, Edgar has more skills than Maynard, but he is tiny. Penn is a bad matchup for anyone, especially Maynard. If Maynard tried to put his boxing on display with Penn, like he did against Diaz, he would be murdered, no exaggeration. Edgar is too small, he would have to walk thru Penn's boxing to even get close to hitting him, and that will never happen. Neither Edgar nor Maynard has any chance of taking BJ down, but cuz of his size and strength, Maynard has a slightly better chance. Getting a takedown would be the only way either of these 2 could hope to win. Lay and pray. Again, Edgar is too small for that strategy, so he has less of a chance than Maynard, who has 0. Edgar/Penn will be 2 rounds of BJ showcasing his boxing.

I think you are right that Gray is not ready, but I'm not convinced Edgar is either...

I'd rather see BJ take a 170 fight against fitch or alvez. Meanwhile I'd like to see a florian vs Sherk or Diego and edgar vs Maynard fight and have the most impressive winner fighting bj after he is done with his 170 fight.

It doesn't help that Maynard's camp isn't looking for him to fight Penn yet.
