I predict two guys getting punched in the face an awful lot for 3 rounds. Cant call a winner.

It depends on wich Cote we will see... the old one wins against Belcher, but i can't believe he will be back at the same level. Maybe after 1, 2 fights but not directly! So in my opinion Belcher wins this fight via decision victory.

Sad but I have to pick him

BTW I am thrilled to see Cote back in Action. I love it how he moves in the Cage and his footwork looks so awesome.

Belcher's quite well-rounded and has good muay thai skills. I'm really excited to see Cote fighting again, though. And I'm surprised that you would even suggest that Belcher might have as much power as Cote, I think everyone would agree Cote's KO power is a big advantage for him.

He said Belcher doesn't have the power to threaten Cote standing.

This is a good fight. However its not a good fight for cote. I see him losing a decision to belcher.

Belchers striking is massively underrated, cote has more power but after that long lay off I don't think it would be a stretch for him to gas and lose a decision.

EDIT: This is more because I'm a HUGE Belcher fan (check the sig!), but I think you're seriously underrating him, too, Toxic. Belcher brings nothing to the table that Grove, McFedries and Smith didn't? Belcher's Muay Thai is WAY more on point than all of them, not to mention he has way more power than Grove could ever hope to have. His striking is really diverse, so he isn't going to do nothing but punches and a couple leg kicks. He'll mix up angles and his level of attack, something none of those three, with the possible exception of Grove, do well, if at all. His ground game is more defensive, but I think that is just going to mean Cote won't sub him. His sweeps are solid, too, so if Cote wants to take it there it's going to be hard to keep it.I think Belcher is probably his toughest opponent yet outside of Anderson... Belcher may not have the power to KO him, but I can see him out pointing him to a UD.
Those are some valid points. One thing I notice about Belcher is he's pretty good at creating angles and mixes up his shots with high lows. Thing is I've never really caught on with em but prolly cuz he beat Denis Kang too.

Cote is recuperating after a long layoff and Belcher has really built up a momentum. Still going with Cote, but Belcher with the decision is certainly a possibility.

Agreed dont think there is anyone at 185 that can match Cotes power or anyone in the sport who can match his chin !.....except maybe Mark Hunt

I really wasn't trying to suggest it but somebody will always come along and say how do you know and start some petty ass argument so I just add IMO so I don't have to deal with it. So much for that idea....

IMO....Cote' wins this fight...simple. he has a chin like iron and he has hands and power, which is enough but you can throw speed in there as well and I think he is going to be looking to make a statement...

I dont think we need to worry about either of these guys ground games in this fight i dont think ive ever seen either of them shoot. About 50-50 in my books I dont know who to pick but I expect a good standup fight.
