I just went and watched Cote v Silva for the first time. Cote impressed me. While he was outstruck he showed greatly improved striking and very good footwork. Not to mention a chin of granite. How did he eat some of those shots and still retain the ability to speak english? If he comes in in anything resembling top form he will win this fight I think.

His striking looked much better than Belcher's has in his last couple of fights. IMO.

This is gonna be a classic Tyson style of fighting. Cote is gonna want to look for the opening and close the distance to get his hooks in. Belcher likes to side step a lot with a fairly wide stance creating lots of angles. Never seen Belcher's clinch game though...

Think Cote is gonna go for an overhand right as Belcher does a low kick. Lights out...

Cote is gonna get destroyed by Belcher. This slow ass brawler is so overrated... having a chin is not the only thing you want to be known for, it just means you fight like a bum and take a lot of shots. While Belcher is kinda full of himself, he does have very good technical striking and decent subs ... Cote is getting TKOd rd 3.

slow brawler

Cote has amazing footwork, decent head movement and is known as a great striker. He will only get better! He takes a lot of punishment too thats right, but I think he will improve in this when time goes by. I also think that Belcher will take this win, but thats only because Cote comes of after such a big layoff, he can't be at 100%... no way!

PS: Belcher takes also a lot of punishment.

Odd then that that slow ass brawler has one of the highest percentage of punches landed in the UFC, when he fought Silva it was way ahead of the UFC average and the numbers they gave for Cote are actually comparable to the ones they gave for Penn. (That seems odd even to me thought) Cote has come along way from being just a brawler with an iron chin, Once upon a time Cote would lose his composure and get into a battle of wills and jaws but working with Mark Delegrotte Cote has finally found a way to slow down and actually fight a smart fight instead of going full speed ahead and hoping something connects.

Can't stand these ''brawling'' power punchers for the most part. Though, Belcher can be one.

Hopefully Belcher wins for the stated reasons above, and because he'll have some arrogant interview which will be hilarious.

''You probably thought this was a bright idea, who hit the light switch? Hype shift, this is where it looks like the fight's fixed, tight fist, beat you with the hand that I write with, punchlines that remind Rodney King of the night sticks...''

I agree that he is not just a strong brawler but at the same time he is not the most technical of fighters in the sense that he allows himself to get hit but his durability cancels this out and I think he will KO Belcher if he gets his hands on him.
