UFC 66 Salaries

It should be noted that Chuck was not awarded a win bonus; I double-checked this with the state commission. I'm assuming the UFC worked out a deal with him and Tito (because Tito wouldn't have gotten a win bonus either if he had won).

I also found it odd that Arlovski got $90,000 to show and $55,000 to win. I don't remember seeing a show/win that wasn't the same in quite a while.

Enjoy...

Top 10 salaries:

Liddell: $250,000
Ortiz: $210,000
Arlovski: $145,0O0
Bisping: $24,0O0
Alves: $22,000
Gonzaga: $18,000
Griffin: $16,000
Okami: $16,000
Jardine: $14,000
MacDonald: $10,000

UFC has only been making money for about 2 years now from what I've read. They lost over 34 million in the fiscal year 2004. Basically there decision to create TUF was the most genius thing they did.(they even paid the 10 million for production).

I"m sure they will start to pay more for the midlevel fights as more time goes by. Espeically with that new Elite organization being formed and there deal with Showtime that will put them in the American Mainstream Media Market.

Pride on the other hand has been having some money issues since they lost there local television network and I could see more of there top talent defecting to the UFC and EliteXC.

Tito and Chuck got paid plenty though. So did AA really.

I find it funny that Chuck Liddell gets paid $250,000 every fight! I mean Matt Hughes got paid $130,000 when he beat BJ Penn and I think it was paid 80,000 when he fought George St. Pierre. Matt Hughes is just as dominant as Liddell yet he only gets paid half the money Chuck does sometimes! That's kind of weak!

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

I am a huge Liddell fan but the pay scales are so out of whack it's ridiculous. That's all I am going to say about that.

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
