Yeah, the author needs to work on his comprehension skills. It seems some mmaforum posters need to, too.

Yet another reason to dislike Nate... Damn I really enjoy his fights, but his shitty attitude makes it really hard to like him as a person.

I do think that Rogan is can be very biased in his commentating, but he was not one of the judges and neither are the fans that are listening to him.

He's slightly off base. I was actually the cause of him losing, because I was cheering too loudly for Maynard at my house, watching off my dvr. My apologies Nate...

difference is, shoguns kicks were wearing down machida where as machidas punches had little effect on shogun

i do agree that nate one the fight though, maynard was busted up and tired by the end and diaz looked the same as when he entered the ring and like he could go another 3 rounds

Nate diaz is and idiot. Joe Rogan has no influence in the outcome of the fight, however his bias commentating does piss me off. He can quite easily influence the home viewers perseption of the fight.

also, to come out in the ring and announce who he thought won the fight (rua vs machida) was very disrespectful. It's not his job to give his opinion on the outcome during interviews... an interview is about the Interviewee, not Joe.

And I watched the Shogun Machida fight again muted and still thought Shogun won also.
I noticed that too. How the hell does landing one flurry redeem you for taking a beating for 4:30 of a round? Child, please. I really do not like Diaz and even I think he got robbed as all hell in that fight. Gray got out pointed in both the first and last rounds, completely. And then a judge has the gall to score the fight 30-27 Gray? ******* SERIOUSLY!? I think that dude has worse judging than Ceicle Peoples >:[

I always get a chuckle on what you hear can impair your vision in watching a fight.

Joe and Mike are good at commentating, but they continually say some pretty stupid crap and both are absolute nut-huggers. Like when Joe said that the Couture-Coleman fight would certainly have HW title implications. What? Are you freakin' joking? For me...that fight will be entertaining to watch to be sure but as far as the "landscape" of the HW division it doesn't even make the radar.

I disregard much of what they say during a fight. They are there for some color and for folks that know jack about MMA in order to sell the product imo. I don't need their commentary. For anyone to suggest that what Joe Rogan is saying during a fight has some impact on the outcome is just stupid.

I like me some Diaz brothers but Nathan lost that fight. It was close, but he lost pretty opinion. He never rocked Gray, not once that I remember, he had nothing in the way of takedowns, and his striking was "ok". I've always felt sort of odd concerning his striking. Obviously he has had some success, but it never has that devastating look to it.

I had 1st round Maynard, 2nd round Maynard (but pretty close), and 3rd round Diaz. Let it go the judges and you have zero room to complain in a really close bout. All these fighters know that.

Oh joe caused me to lose! What a ***. The only reason I watch his fights are to see him hopefully get KO'ed.
