Dumbest thing I've ever read. Judges aren't even given TVs nevermind listening to commentary. Nate just needs an excuse, as usual, to yet another loss. The reason behind his loss was because Gray was the better fighter. Simple enough. This kid's constant whining gets very aggravating.

I was on my computer during that fight; it was playing on my TV beside me, muted the whole time. I thought Diaz lost, narrowly.

*shrugs*

Also, what many other people said, I agree with: judges don't hear Rogan. Duh.

I thought Nate won the fight, but this is just stupid. Of course the audience AT HOME can be persuaded by Rogan, but not the judges and audience in ******* attendance.

You're just a cook...

And I'm fairly certain that the judges are not the ones buying the feed.

He does change his opinion a lot, though. I think Rogan is 90% great commentator, 10% bad/weird/inconsistent/biased commentator.

Either way, as I'm sure we all know, the judges don't make calls based on what Joe wants, so Nate's comment about it is... well, it's either "out there", in a way that he doesn't literally mean he lost because of Joe, but was just making a point that Joe's commentary was biased, or he actually does think that, in which I think he's smoked a bit too much weed.

In case you've never heard Joe Buck commentate a Yankees game or an Eli Manning game; its pretty much as bad as the Rogan stuff.
All sports have biased commentators. And depending on whether or not they are backing "your" favorite will influence your perception on that commentator. I [expletive] hate Chris Collingsworth calling some NFL games, yet like Joe, 90% of the time he is on point.

For me its simple, there are just some fighters out there that need to make excuses when the lose, i.e. Tito, BJ when he lost to GSP the first time, Varner when he lost to Henderson and finally Diaz now. IMO they all sound like idiot's, take the lose and grow from it.

1st.)at least he is not as bad as the commentators on the WEC when Faber is fighting, I think I can actually hear them slurping his balls when he fights.

2nd.) Judges cant hear Joe

3rd.) I am a frickin huge fan of Diaz when he is in teh octagon (mind you it is just when he is in the octagon) and I still had the fight slightly going to maynard but just slightly it could have went either way in my eyes but I would have been more shocked if Diaz won.

I know I'm late to weigh in on this, but that's an absolutely ridiculous argument.

I agree about the Fabetr thing, but I think it is worse when Frank Mir is commentating a Miguel Torres fight. He is like in love with Torres!

It seems a lot of posters still haven't bothered to read what Diaz actually said.

a way of life

I think every commentator has some type of biased. have you every heard Jim Lampley on HBO's - guy is a complete waste. You can tell within 90 seconds who he wants to win. I have not been able to watch him and his side kick Larry Merchant for 20 years. Awful.

As for the Nate/Gray fight - I didn't hear bias; however I can't stand Nate and think the guy is a complete bore of a fighter. They need to stop having him headline these things. He always has an excuse after a loss and thinks people are out to get him. As mentioned here - the judges didn't hear Rogan during the fight.
