Its funny to look back on all of your answers after what Serra just did! Well, I'm bringing back this old thread because Matt Serra is facing another Tough opponent, Matt Hughes! So same question, will all this extra training help Serra out with his fight with Matt Hughes?

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

Unless he gets another lucky punch, and Hughes repeatedly tries to stand right back up and trade with him...no.

No Serra is never gonna be on Hughes/GSP level, he is a good fighter and the current champ and nobody can take that away from him but until he beats a good fighter who brings his A game then I refuse to see him as championship material.

I was one of the people assuming GSP would lay the hurtin' no Serra, but I'm just saying that it was funny to see how things have turned out.

10 months old, but still relevent.

Serra does possibly have a chance. It appears that Hughes is talking his way out of winning. TUF showed this when Hughes was saying stuff like "ive only got a few fights left in me" and other things is possible to pick up on if you read between the lines.

If Hughes brings his A game (which may not happen) Serra can win. If Hughes fights with emotion and not his head, Serra can win.

Only way Serra can win is if Hughes does something silly.

See I like Serra but I do believe that GSP has got his number just like Chuck has Tito's number and Jackson has Chucks.
