Probably because he seems like a legitimately nice guy and wanted to learn, learn, learn?
Good to see Hill coming back to MMA. Must be hard, but you can tell he loves the sport. I hope he doesn't break his toothpick legs anymore.

Nice to see him return, that injury was easily the worst I've seen in the Octagon. Everytime I hear the name Corey Hill I'm just reminded of that incident, and what sticks out for me is Rogan's commentary, he was going mad as soon as he saw the leg break, especially when they continued fighting on the ground. Good to see Hill returning, hopefully he'll get a win, nice to see that the UFC stuck with the guy and supported him through it. Wish him luck, he really should be at 170 at least though, he's an inch taller than Brock Lesnar ffs.

Truly, though, that injury was wicked, and I think he should start looking for a back up career plan.

man hate to say it but he isnt a good fighter and this comeback wont go anywhere, you can be 7 foot tall and a lightweight. He either needs to find out how to genetically change his body or really up the skills.

As long as Hill stays at 155, there will be a HUGE risk of injury for him. Instead of coming back at 155, he needs to take another year off and powerlift 5 or 6 times a week and comeback at 170 at least. Regardless what Rogan said when Hill fought in the UFC, Hill isn't healthy at 155. He may be in shape, but he is too thin. Look at it this way, he broke his leg by landing a leg kick. What if Tyson Griffin, or any Muay Thai based fighter, landed a leg kick on him? For his own sakes, he needs to do nothing but powerlift for awhile and put on at least 15, 20 pounds of muscle.

As an update to this thread, Corey emerged unscathed from his comeback fight last night and claimed a unanimous decision victory.

I am happy to hear that he got the win! Especially since he was brave enough to fight again after that terrible injury that he had.
