Before their first fight it what all Big Nog. Looked kinda flukey that Mir was able to TKO a fighter who has never been stopped before. Then he pretty much knocks out a top level striker in Kongo. Mir's striking has obviously been on the radar since. I don't think Nog will lose the second time around though. His game plan will change and more importantly be fit to go. Besides it'll make the game interesting if Big Nog wins then there will be a round 3...lolz!

Gotta say though Mir looks focused and better than ever. You can tell he wants that rubber match with Brock.

You do have good points there, Big Nog did look really funky like i never seen before i called it as he was walking in that he looked like almost sad or hurtin. And i agree that his game plan would change but i don't think he is able to out strike Mir, sick or not.... And shr as hell aint going to submit him so id say TKO Mir

I think Mir would take it more easily the 2nd time around. I don't expect Nog to ever return to form. I respect the hell out of the guy but I think he's done. Cain will beat him easily via T/KO.

God i hope he beat Cain.... Its an ok match up for him, being how he is really good on the ground and how Cain isn't the biggest HW there is, and having B striking. But if i were to bet id put money on Cain even though i want him dead

I think Mir wins this battle 7/10. Nog is a very good fighter but imo Mir is a terrible match up for Nog.

I mean Mir is equal to or better than everything Nog offers. Except maybe BJJ I think Nog is better at sweeps and pulling off hail mary subs. Striking clearly goes to Mir and I would also give Strength, Power and Speed to him as well. Nog will definitly put up a better fight then last time when this happens but he will lose in close to the same way in the end.

Let's just hope Nog beats Cain though I really want to see him win by sub.

For one he's healthier so his movement will be a lot more fluid. You could tell he looked a lot more crisp against Randy Couture. That will make a ton of difference. Frank will probably expect that Nog wants to stand up again. That's where we'll see Nog mix it up with shots/angles and take downs. (Last fight he was extremely sluggish not to take anything away from Mir's improved striking.) Mir doesn't really have a take down defense as he usually just pulls guard. If Nog can take em down he can wear em out. Mir is packing on a lot of muscle. He obviously has a lot more power now, but it'll play a factor in his conditioning. It's one of the fights where if it's one round then it's probably Mir who will take it. The longer it goes the better odds for Nog.

Nog usually wears out his opponent and catches em with a submission.

Vintage Nog. If you want to watch the entire fight fast forward to 6:20 and you'll see the sickest transitions.

Another vote for Mir, he is bigger, stronger, faster than before and we saw before. Nog's best days are in decades past.

Right now I wouldn't bet against Mir until he gets Lesnar again. He is focused and on a mission. If nothing was on the line for the fight, I'd say it was a tossup. If the fight occurs to see who gets a crack at Lesnar, then I'm scared for Nog.

Yeah im sure if they fought again nog would probably look alot better, but imo all mir has to do is avoid the takedown and he easily takes this tko or ud, and im sure he knows that.

Afaik nog has never had the best takedowns, hes kinda like mir in that way, but as long as mir works his cardio and tdd im still confident in my 9/10 prediction.
