I like Diego also. He's a young man and has a bright future ahead of him. I wish he'd get 1 or 2 more top fights first though before a title shot.

He should fight Hughes or Penn before he gets a shot. Those guys are the cream of the crop besides GSP. If he can get by them then he deserves his shot. He's fought all cans so far except for Karo who gave him a battle. I agree though he's showing alot of promise. But I would call him "A" level yet.

i dont see how he deserves a title shot. Who has he faced to get to number one contender. I say he has to fight BJ or Hughes. I will not sit back and watch him knock out washed up hacks like joe riggs and have people say hes deserving. **** him.

OK lets see. Karo, Diaz, Ken Flo which by the way lost of Sherk, Riggs, and Alessio, That being said the divison he is in is stacked full of really good fighters, that why no ones records blows you away.

As i said on my first post. If you would read it says i would like to see him fight BJ FIRST before getting a shot

Of course he deserves it before anyone eles. Thats what pisses my off about Serra getting one for doing shit for the UFC. I was hopeing Matt would have won that fight, so he would beat Serra ass. They way Serra talked about him on the show is just stupid. Considering hes nothing more than a never will be.

BJ is going to 155. They won't fight. He should fight Hughes first. If he beats Hughes he should get a title shot. If Hughes wins then he deserves a rematch. But before either fight happens Serra gets sent to the hospital. He should deff. drop down to 155 where he'll be better. I still doubt he'll be a champ but he can atleast make a little splash. I want to see a rematch between Diaz and Karo also. The first fight was great and I'm not satasfied with the decision. Both guys have some skill striking and grappling and both set a good pace.

i love the welterweight division it's awesome there's a whole bunch of worldclass fighters in this division, i do believe diego has the skill to become the champion but i don't think he'll get a title shot this year if he does it will be late 2007, obviously gsp will beat serra and then i think there will be a rematch between hughes and gsp, i think diego should fight bj to really cement himself as a number 1 contender.

Every one keeps mentioning BJ but he is dropping to 155 and won't be fighting anyone at WW.
