look at thoes names!!! what?!?! although he did kill them all but thats not the point, the ufc does that with everyone, when you lose you goto the bottom and work your way up. Pride just does it better than anyone else because it makes you a better fighter if you have to work your way up and work for the belt.

But this is the real kicker, Tito fights the likes of Shamrock, Griffen and Belfort, and cote before he fights Chuck........ why didn't Tito have to fight Jardine, Babalu, and Horn??

why did he get easy fights to become the "number 1 contender" when fights actual fighters who aren't going in to retirement.

There is no madness to the ufc they just pick fights that they think would make them money as apposed to making the a real number 1 contender.
I understand what your saying, but Belfort is no push over. Were talking about a guy who has destroyed Wanderlei and Tank Abott.

honestly i think this is a fight that MacDonald has been looking for...he said it in his post fight interview...he wants the UFC to take him seriously and to stop trying him as a TUF fall guy...so if he beats Franklin then he will be taken very seriously...which is what he wants.

Anyone have any proof that the "UFC" says or thinks of Jason like some of you are saying they do? Or is it all just you saying what you think the UFC is doing?

if youve paid attention it is not us saying it it is MacDonald saying it...he flat out said he is tired of being a stepping stone for TUF fighters and wants the UFC to stop treating him that way

why would the UFC let macdonald fight rich franklin or mike swick or anderson silva for his first fight? first of all, silva has a previous obligation with lutter. then franklin i just got medically cleared to train. and then of course leben isnt that bad. his first fight i believe he was a stepping stone but not the second one. dana upped the quality of opponent for him and since he won he's getting a bigger name for himself. macdonald wants franklin. the UFC loves this guy enough to do what he wants.

hmmm...Anderson Silva fought what 2 times(help my memory just went blank)once against Leben and(?) before he got Franklin in a title shot.

So McDonald getting a shot against Franklin who of course is a lesser proven fighter than Silva at this point isnt' punishment its a big opportunity.

I also feel McDonald could beat Franklin although it should be a close battle. McDonald wants to fight the top and he's getting his chance. He wins he'll likely get a title shot in the near future. The title of this thread doens't make alot of sense to me.

In reality Franklin has alot more to lose than McDonald does. McDonald loses and make its a contest he'll get several more chances. If Franklin loses thats 2 in a row and people will start doubting him and he'll have to win several bouts in a row to get another shot at the title.
