Well i dont see any of the belt holders leaving UFC to go to some other organization so all the talent that want to prove themselves are going to go to UFC.

And i don't see that changing anytime soon

One day there are going to be a lot of choices to choose and UFC will have the top dogs and probably offer there fighters a lot more money to keep them.

And with Flash entertainment joining in with there 4 billion$ buy, or something like that... UFC is just going to become a monster, there only getting started, and Strikeforce are just trying to put on good shows, and trying to hang on.

I cant wait for more to get started when MMA gets bigger

Whatever, SF's MW division is a lot more stacked than UFC's and their HW division is just about on par.

And their LW division is bringing us fights that are 1000000x more exciting than the UFC's LW division.

The UFC's MW division is, by far, their weakest division. Strikeforce has one better division than the UFC. Whoop-tee-do.

I don't believe the Strikeforce HW division even touches the UFC's, nor does the LW division. We could sit and argue all day about which LW division is more exciting, but I'd watch Penn over anything Strikeforce has to offer anytime.

No, they brought us 1 fight which happened to be one of the fights of the year, Melendez vs Thompson. Until Aoki fights for them, they've basically got no-one else. What other LW fights have Strikeforce put on which have been 1000000x more exciting than the UFC's LW division?

Dana's right, the fact is, UFC is superior to Strikeforce in every weight division in terms of depth (the only one that's debatable is the MW division). They've got 2-5 good fighters in each weightclass, but after that their divisions are incredibly meh. At HW they've got Fedor, Rogers, Werdum and Overeem (if you could even count Overeem, he's not fought for them for a long, long time); at LHW they've got Mousasi and Lawal; at MW they've got Shields, Henderson, Jacare and Miller; at WW they've got Diaz and Zaromskis and at LW they've got Melendez, Thompson and Ishida. The UFC have Lesnar, Mir, Dos Santos, Carwin and Velasquez at HW; Machida, Shogun, Rampage, Rashad, Nog, Forrest, Couture, Liddell, Franklin and Ortiz at LHW; Silva, Belfort, Marquardt, Sonnen, Maia, Wanderlei and Bisping at MW; St-Pierre, Alves, Koscheck, Fitch, Swick, Hardy, Daley and Johnson at WW and Penn, Florian, Gomi, Edgar, Maynard, Sanchez and Stevenson at LW.

Yeah, I agree with DW. Their production quality is lower, and their fighter roster, while it has its high points, is lower overall. Hell, they are a few events away from exhausting their card abilities.

I wouldn't be too worried about it if I was DW. I would simply crush them into the ground with some solid counterprogramming (I hate it but is definitely effective).

One thing I can not stand about Strikeforce is that the SECOND they get a good/relatively known fighter, they get an immediate title shot. Not a single match leading up to it. It's retarded. It shows how bad their match-making is.

Dana is pretty much correct, but that doesn't mean people shouldn't watch Strikeforce.

I still don't understand why anyone would argue any of SF's divisions being deeper than the UFC's. Entertaining? Perhaps. But the only reason you could classify them as entertaining is because there are no dominant champions, excluding perhaps in LHW which you can't even begin to compare to the UFC's LHW division. As far as excitement goes for me in a sport, it's seeing an athlete or martial artist compete at such high levels against one another. Hell, even if I know most likely BJ Penn is going to beat Frankie Edgar, at the end of the day I was able to witness a fight between two opponents who are at the top of the world in their rankings.

There really isn't one division you can take in SF and say its top fighter has a good chance of beating a UFC top fighter, except potentially Fedor in HW. But SF's HW division leaves something to be desired. There are really only two SF HWs who I'm even remotely interested seeing in action. Fedor and Overeem. And I know I'll be lucky to even see Overeem fight in the US. Why would I be interested in seeing a guy like Werdum fight when he couldn't even really mount a solid win streak in the UFC? And guys like Werdum are people we're seeing fight for titles, and are earning their shots by beating people most MMA fans haven't even heard of.

I think Scott Smith's fight against "legendary striker" Cung Le sums up exactly how I feel about Strike force. Chris Leben (or lower) level fighters providing a challenging fight to SF's top fighters. It's my opinion that to even mention anyone outside of Shields, Gegard, or Fedor as being relevant, is just fanboyism. And I think it's kind of me to include Shields in that list.

that logic is dumb. same way you can say that because there were 500 000 illegal stream views of UFC ppvs, the PPV would've gotten 500 000 more buys if those streams didn't exist.

best example is the movies, just because people dl them from the internet, doesn't mean people would've paid to watch them in theaters.
