His defense. From what we saw of Brett, Fedor should've went out and wrecked him as easily, if not easier than Sylvia. Brett survived and defended well.

Jardine does pretty well as long as he's not fighting guys named Silva. If he's scheduled to fight another Silva I'll bet against him and put some money down for a first round KO.

Haha just like they said, he lasted a round more than what... 5 UFC HW champions did?

I think Hughes is underrated now too, he has only lost to GSP and Alves yet most say he is past his prime.

100% agreed about Hughes, that guy is SERIOUSLY underrated right now.

Velasquez though seriously? That guy is the MOST OVERRATED fighter in history. He hasn't fought anyone top 10 (or top 15) and yet he's ranked what, #8? He couldn't finish Kongo and he got the worst stoppage I've ever seen against Rothwell.

Jake Shields

Jacare

Nick Diaz.

I'm pleased to announce that if this was November I'd have to say JDS, but people are definitely catching on and I haven't heard anyone pick Gonzaga over him for the fight in a few months.

I think Hughes is just plain terrible. I though Serra won that fight too. Hughes is good at laying on people, and he actually does have pretty good subs. His striking is some of the worst in all of MMA.

Hughes' striking used to be ok, then he went to the southpaw stance and it's now so bad that I cringe when I see him trying to throw a punch. It's painful watching him try to punch someone.

Velasquez is something like 8-0 in the UFC and still no title shot?

I think Jon Jones isn't under-rated, he has some notable victories but hasn't been in the mix of the best 205ers yet.

He's 5-0 in the UFC, and he hasn't faced ANYONE top 15 and his biggest win is an absurd stoppage over Ben Rothwell in his UFC debut.

He's way behind guys like Mir, JDS, Nog, even Carwin. There's a ton of 5-0 fighters in the UFC... should they all get title shots?

I think Hughes was just always overrated and now hes just exposed he should have lost to carlos newton back in the day when carlos choked him out bj beat him as well before he was that great and two loses to Dennis Hallman.

Big Nog is underrated. he is still #2 HW in the world next to Fedor.

Patrick Cote is highly underrated as well. #2 MW IMO

Brandon Vera, too, was labeled as the next great fighter before he had fought anyone worthwhile (other than a fat, out of shape, demoralized Mir), and when he did fight good competition he lost.

I don't think Mir is overrated. I think people recognize how talented he is, I just thinki they hate him.

Rogers may be underrated.

And Jardine? I don't know. He has been given great fights and he loses them.

I guess it just depends on your definition on 'underrated'.
Yep ^
