Sonnen is just a bad match up for nate, just as Maia is a bad match up for Sonnen. I think Hendo would beat all 3 of them.

As for Swick, i dont think he has ever been that highly rated anyway, i think most people thought he would be beat Hardy, but i think that was more to do with Hardy being underrated and swick gave him a good fight. Swick always has and will be a borderline top 10 WW and i dont think many people have rated him higher than that.
Nate was not focusing on take down defense that fight. Any Nate fan could see he did not come in with a good game plan. He was concentrating on a big KO when they were standing and because of that his movement was bad and he wasn't focusing on TDD. If he circled around more and kept more distance he could have avoided the take downs imo. Nate said it best after the fight was over. He knows what his mistakes were and I think he can do a lot better if they had a rematch.

I haven't encountered too many opinions of Swick that have him significantly above the upper-middle tier of the WW division. Nobodies really talked about him fighting GSP or bothered analyzing that prospect too much. For me, Swick will always be a middling welterweight.

If this concerns his last fight, I would just say alot of the surprise comes from people underrating Paulo Thiago.
