Bad news for Silva, potentially bad news for Chael..
It definitely isn't the most ideal situation for him. Vitor is above and beyond the best striker Anderson will have faced. While I do think he has Muy Thai down pretty good, it still has a negative effect on fight performance when you cannot train properly leading up to a fight.

That's the first thing I thought of, not that he'll lose his Muay Thai skills - but it will most likely affect his confidence in the fight, especially when he's fighting a very dangerous striker.

Thanks to limba for this AWESOME sig

It's not like Mike Tyson and Cus D'amato, who mentored and taught Mike everything he knew, and evolved his style specifically based on Mike's strengths. Cus was Mike's Godfather and thinktank ... this guy is just another coach who came when the sun was already shining brightly.

Nice find though.
I agree. I do think it is unfortunate. Look, Anderson is ******* awesome. I think he is best p4p in my opinion though, this is an different topic. I think he has the talent to do anything and beat anyone on the planet. Roy Jones Jr. was the very same. Then, he got ktfo twice at age 35/36 by hard hitters in Tarver in a rematch as well as Johnson, a journey man. I think many things favor Anderson. I am a huge fan though, I hope he retires soon. Haters are gonna hate no matter what he does. I would love for him to beat Vitor (huge Vitor fan btw) and see a mega fight with Shogun. Win, lose or draw, I would like to see him retire. Hopefully, he is in top form and prime when these fights occure if possible.

If he loses, expect this thread to be brought up as an excuse by people.

''You probably thought this was a bright idea, who hit the light switch? Hype shift, this is where it looks like the fight's fixed, tight fist, beat you with the hand that I write with, punchlines that remind Rodney King of the night sticks...''
