I hate him. Always have, always will. Can I explain why? In all honesty, no. Maybe it's his face. I don't like how he taunted Jardine after he KO'd him. Disrespectful. I disliked him well before that though.

That makes 2 of us. I hated the way he acted after he beat Jardine.

Congratulations you won!

It's embarrassing really. And the UFC LOVES to scream about "Muay Thai" fighters because it sounds cool... But Thiago Silva has some of the weakest leg kicks in the game, a basically non existent plum, Forrest Griffin-esque boxing... and he's slow. 205'ers have no excuse to be slow, look at the top guys, they're lightning quick.

Plus he's a "BJJ black belt" but we haven't seen a sub from him in nearly 5 years and we've never seen him look impressive on the ground in the UFC.

I'd really like to see him out of the top 10 LHW rankings, maybe Silva could move up and wreck him. Or Lil Nog can fight him after fighting Forrest - Luiz Cane is Silva's teammate so they could set the fight up so Lil Nog clears out the ATT's LHW fighters.

just can't discount his power though, it is what has made him very dangerous on the feet regardless of his sloppyness.

I think he gets pretty overrated, but I don't hate the guy. Put don't care. I think I like his delusional hardcore fans less. They believe he is really a contender but he isn't. His stand up is solid but nothing great, his hands aren't that fast. He was taken down at will against Rashad. And his cardio is below average as seen in a few fights, especially in the Rashad fight.

I'm curious as to why people like him more after that fight? He rocked Rashad, had him hurt, and stood there and shrugged his arms. One of the dumbest things I have seen in MMA in a little while. You could tell he was tired, but when you are losing and rock a guy in the 3rd, you go after them, you don't taunt/showboat...or whatever he was doing.

What do you guys think Thiago Silva needs to improve to make a run for the title?

I don't really care. If he's facing someone I don't like, or don't really know...I'll root for him. Otherwise, he isn't a favorite.

He has some holes in his game but he brings it, and it's hard not to love that.
