Wow! That is crap, at least we still get to see Mirko fight.

Elvis and Anthony train and own a martial arts school together, so I think Anthony will show up in shape as they probably figured if someone gets injured he would be the only replacement readily available.

Sucks that Sinosic can't fight at 110, he has done a helluva lot for the sport in Australia and it is seriously bad luck. :(

I train at their gym, and this is so sad/unfortunate ... Elvis had a pretty demanding camp for this starting in the beginning of January, going to Thailand to refine his striking then to the Machados and Xtreme Couture. It's dissappointing because I know all of us students and Aussies wanted to see him fight, can't imagine how he feels.

Also unfortunate that Big Ben is injured, was really looking forward to seeing him v CC, however it's a big opportunity for Anthony Perosh, he'll turn up in shape and that should be a good fight.

GREATLY improves the chances we see CC vs Big Nog dos

LOL u serious?

He has a chance but its between 1 and 2% lol....

So my point is, Cro Cop was training for a fight for his life, and now he is going a guy on short notice?

I think Cro Cop is well rounded enough to adapt and most likely KO this dude first round...

This guy like never even left Australia........ :confused03::thumbsdown:

And hasn't been training for Cro Cop either so it doesn't give CC any less of a chance, other then the fact he is fighting a WAY less talented fighter...

So he was a way better chance of winning
SNOOZE

I just checked this guy out on Wiki

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Perosh

He has more fights than the UFC website card gives him credit for, the UFC card on the UFC website says 5 wins 3 losses, when Wiki says he has 10 wins and 5 losses, he also has had 2 past fights in the UFC and lost both.

Interesting fact that he has only ever been the distance once before in all his 15 fights and that was in the UFC against Christian Wellisch which he lost by unanimous decision.

Out of his 10 wins 7 have come by way of submission, 3 TKO, never a KO.

He has won 5 of his last 7 since leaving the UFC and fighting un Australia, only one of these 7 fights has gone out of the first round, and his 2 losses during this spell have both been KO's.

I think he signs are looking good for Mirko, the odds of him winning this Saturday have just been greatly improved and with a bit of luck we could even get to see a classic CroCop head kicks KO :)

Down side to this is if CroCop dont beat this guy then I can't see how he can stay with the UFC, but I for one really can't see that happening, this has got a CroCop win written all over it

...Anthony Perosh? I haven't heard of him. I guess I'll do some homework. Stepping in to fight Cro-Cop at the last minute takes balls. Even though CC is past his prime, he still can flatline you. Gutsy move on both parties. I don't know about Perosh or his fighting so I can't make a prediction. For certain- Perosh had better keep his right hand up high at all times cause CC can still pull off one of his patented Headkick KO's...

A UFC in Australia without Elvis won't feel the same.

I know some are blowing up about Perosh replacing Rothwell and Haseman not fighting but it's not like theres no one else they can get to fight Haseman, im sure amny Aussie's would love that chance.

Im glad Perosh stepped up, I expected him to be on the card months ago anyway.

...Very true. Like the O2 Arena without Hardy, Daley or Bisping wouldn't be as crazy. Having your countrymen in the cage gets the crowd pumped. Best example of that-- 18k up in Canada got to see GSP crush Serra and win back his belt. That place was insane!! Elvis not fighting will take some gas out of the crowd. UFC 110 is still gonna be awesome...

Cro Cop has 2 fights left in the UFC, and this is one of them now? Even if he wins, it won't really prove much. Crap. Oh well, maybe a signifigant ko win in the cage could give him some confidence.

Also, I feel bad for Rothwell's luck so far. He's having a rough start in the UFC.

CONFIRMED - Rothwell out of Cro Cop fight

Ben Rothwell has dropped out of his UFC 110 matchup against Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic due to illness, according to an announcement made Thursday on the UFC’s Web site.

Anthony Perosh will replace Rothwell in the heavyweight bout, which takes place Saturday in Sydney, Australia.

The UFC also announced that Elvis Sinosic suffered a shoulder injury that has forced the cancellation of his bout against Chris Haseman.

I will admit I am not happy I wanted Cro Cop to destroy Ben Rothwell and prove he is back, not some guy I never heard of before.
