haha... definitely didn't beat Hamill.... but yeah, I've always thought Bisping was overrated.

I'm British....I think your totally correct, when i identified myself as British I was asked why i bother to do so, it didn't matter that i was a Brit.

I stated it for the same reason you did, to try and project a position of initial support and hope for a fighter that you speak of......anyway...repped

I agree with your entire post. Good stuff.

I think Bispings problem is he lacks that 'thing' all great fighters have-- including Daley, Hardy and Etim. That love to fight and to finish fights. Don't get me wrong, Bisping, technically, is a very good fighter and although I don't think MMA should be a brawl type sport, it does take that 'killer instinct' that Bisping lacks. Throughout his entire fight with Wandy (and most of his other fights for that matter) Bisping just tried to outpoint him with weak shots and takedowns.

Hardy and Daley have that instinct to finish fights.. I think is Bisping develops that (if it is something you can develop) he has some potential.

Thanks for all the replys guys.

When i originally posted this thread i wasnt sure whether or not it would just be taken as a moan about Bisping, which wasnt the point i wanted to get across. Im glad it has been read the way intended it to come across and im glad that no idiot has come and with stupid comments.

Good post. Bispinng needs to change camps, they are obviously responsible for his game planning and it needs to change. I actually think Bisping does have power, hes just far too gunshy on fight night and is trained poorly.

I see why the UFC wanted to hype him up better than he was. But I never understood why real fight fans ever bought in. Until a guy beats a real solid opponent I never look at him as more than an average fighter. A crap dec. over Hamill doesn't cut it. The rest of his wins have been average at best. I never considered him a threat to the title, not even a threat to get to a title shot unless the UFC pushed so hard until he got one without deserving it. He has never shown a top level ability and I never thought of him as a top level fighter or even close. But then again I'm not English so..

Yea that camp is a joke. Bisping blah, look at what they have done with Kongo. Rampage is Rampage wherever he goes, but they haven't really improved his game any.

Good post, very objective, accurate and rational. Objective and rational are a lost art these days.

He should go back to training with Team Punishment like he did just after TUF3 when he finished his fights. Bisping IMO fights too much like he is fighting in a Kick Boxing match and never really goes for the kill.
