Hell yea, thats the way I have always seen Randy, nothing more than a showcase fighter, the UFC's poster boy, when was the last time you saw him put a decent title run together to justify a title shot, RAMPAGE, CROCOP, NOG, FEDOR, would of all beaten him any point in his career, he was never the best fighter even when he was holding the belts.

I was so happy when he had to fight Nogueira, I knew that fight was only going one way, now I just want Rampage to expose him at LHW.

Just cause you can't compete with the top guys, doesn't mean you should retire. When I click on the list, I was expecting to see Kenny Shamrock, Mark Coleman and wasn't sure on the 3rd. While the 3 you listed, may over nothing in the title shot picture, there are still good fights to be had out of them. Nog and CC going at it again, could be fun to watch.

Wow....one bad fight and Nog's career is over, that's it it's over, until he gets another fight and subs someone, than I'll read "Nog is BACK!!!!"

Cain is young and hungry, when he wouldn't stay on the ground with Nog I knew he was going to win. Nog is not done okay....

Couture is better suited at 205 now, I need to see more fights before I say if he needs to retire, but I can't see that he should.

I'll give you Cro Cop maybe, he didn't look impressive against a guy that only knew he was going to fight a couple days before hand. If Cro Cop's desire is back, then he needs to stick around too.

It depends on what you want to see. I'm not saying Nog is "done", I'm saying he can't beat any of the top 5, maybe top 10 guys. For a guy like him who has spent most of his career fighting guys like that, I consider that done. He is still an excellent HW and there are plenty of guys he can beat but....he won't be fighting any of them. I don't want to see him as a gatekeeper, an Antoni Hardonk "win one lose one" type of guy.

Cro Cop's desire isn't back, I don't know what people need to be convinced of that. Fiery letters in the sky I guess. He hasn't looked good in forever.

Randy got dominated by Nog who himself was completely smashed by Mir and Cain. Again, it isn't that Randy is lol bad now but he isn't a top guy at all. I'm not interested in seeing him squeak out wins against mid tier fighters like Vera and then get smashed every time he fights some one good.

One bad fight? The more accurate statement is, Nog's only had one good fight (in the UFC). As far as UFC records are concerned, Nog having a poor or underwhelming showing is the standard and his fight against Randy was the exception. I rooted for Nog and I'll always root for Pride fighters, but lets be serious. Nog's only had that Randy fight in the UFC, which revitalized a generally and more consistently disappointing Big Nog (from the vantage point of his Pride fans (me).

So if you can't be top dog anymore you need to retire? I never said anything about those guys being top tier figthers, I said they don't need to retire.
