UFC Might Pursue Fedor
UFC Junkie
Brawl Sports: UFC to strengthen stable of fighters in 2007
As I posted in the PRIDE section a few days ago,I read that FEDOR might be possibly leaving PRIDE. Several posters said thats not going to happen that he just signed a new contract...etc..yet nobody posted any links/proof.
Now comes these 2 links above.
This is the biggest news that could happen in 2007 if Fedor jumped PRIDE for UFC(anywhere really).
Everybody if they find new links/articles please post them here,so we can stay up to date on things.
Maybe Dana is just hyping things,but several tidbits of informations adds some real possiblity that this isnt a bunch of BS.

So True. Plus this has an effect beyond just Fedor. Who else would follow Fedor after that? Would Pride losing Fedor to UFC(someplace else)be the beginning of the end for PRIDE?
I"m sure PRIDE would remain popular in Japan,but if they start losing there biggest stars,then there going to have problems selling itself to the American Fans. |

Brandon Vera (if indeed he's signing with Pride) could arrive in Japan to find their two top heavyweights gone. Sure betters his chances. Maybe he's not so dumb after all...
But seriuosly, if UFC steals Fedor, I can't imagine some of the other guys being that far behind. Can you imagine Mark Hunt vs. Cro Cop II in a UFC ring? It would be off the hook! |

For some reason i just can't see Fedor coming to UFC. Dana would be crazy not to go for Fedor. If Pride does go under Fedor wouldn't have many other places to go.
I doubt Hunt and Cro Cop two would happen simply because Hunt wouldn't make the weight.

Well theres rumors that he might become a freelance fighter, cuz he was suggesting fighting with his team the red devils, in bodog, which doesn't use contracts and stuff like that, so i wouldn't be suprised that he might try and expand his belt(s)...

That fight would be pretty gay, becuase of the 3X5 mins rounds, id want to see more then jsut 15 mins of thoes 2 guys going at it.......... becuase remember they dont have belts if they were to come over so gay rules state 3, 5 mins rounds BOOOOO!!
