Cole Miller vs. Andre Winner scratched from UFC Fight Night 21; Rafaello Oliveira named replacement
Posted by: Josh Sanchez
UFC Fight Night 21: Florian vs. Gomi is scheduled for March 31st in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event is headlined by a lightweight match up between one of the UFC’s biggest stars at 155-pounds, Kenny Florian, and former PRIDE and Japanese legend, Takanori Gomi.

The card is quickly coming together, but MMAjunkie.com recently learned that another lightweight bout between two TUF alumini, Cole Miller and Andre Winner.

Per the report, sources close to the American Top Team standout Miller say that the fighter is injured and unable to make the fight.

Miller bounced back from a knockout loss to Efrain Escudero with a highlight reel submission victory over Dan Lauzon at UFC 108. Winner is coming off of a knockout victory at UFC 105 over Roli Delgado.

There is no word yet on whether the fight will be rescheduled for a later event. Here is the updated fight card for UFC Fight Night 21:

UPDATE: Rafaello “Tractor” Oliveira has been named the replacement for Cole Miller, according to Tatame.com.

Glad the fight's not been scrapped completely, looking forward to seeing Winner fight again. Rate him very highly, he's got incredible hand speed. Hopefully he'll beat Oliveira.

Winner has a ton of potential. Really solid striking and solid on the ground.

Indeedy so, mate. Winner's potential is unlimited and I honestly can't picture many fighters giving him trouble at LW, even this early in his career.

A lot of guys in some of the UK camps i've visited (i'm planning on writing a short non fiction story, a la Kelly Crigger)rave about the bloke and tell me that we haven't even fully seen what the guy can dish out, and I really believe them. You can see it in his eyes, the way he moves, his vibe and everything in the ring that this guy is a real life fighting machine. Apparently there were veterns at London Shootfighters who didn't even want to spar with him. Hyperbole? Perhaps, but is there some truth to it? I reckon so.

I got a bit scared when I first saw the title as I thought that neither fighters were going to be on the card, but i'm happy that there is a replacement and we get to see Winner fight again

I know next to nothing on Raefellio Oliveira guy, but I really liked the match up with Miller because then we were likely to be exposed to Winner's underrated ground game.

What makes you think that he won't live up to his potential?

Im just glad that we still get to see Winner brawl! Dark Knight, have you a link to some of Winners fight videos other than on TUF. He looked excellent on TUF and want to see some other fights. Or have you actually seen him spar and train in person?

I think Winner has more potential than Pearson, even though he lost to him. Both are very promising.

I think he'll live up to the potential.
