Definitely not underrated, just needs work on his ground game. He has power in both hands and he's shown that against Jardine/Alexander.
he's ground game is one of the best if not the best in the LHW div it's just TDD he needs to work on

The guy likes to put on good fights and has a couple HL reel KO's so I can see why he has fans that would overrate him.

He didn't show good TDD, but he was able to get back to the feet pretty quick vs Rashad which is something positive to take away on his part.
this. the TS has showed complete bias against silva by not mentioning that and silva is obviously going to work on his cardio and TDD after this fight and he is with ATT which means he has got the likes of king mo to help him with TDD, he's only gonna get better and if he had better TDD he would have won

I've been saying Thiago Silva's overrated for a while now.

His best win is against Keith Jardine, who I like, but come the hell on, Jardine is chinny and inconsistent.

He's really slow. He just plods, and has awful defense. His wrestling is non-existent, his striking is sloppy and he has a solid ground game.

He's not that good.

yeah his defence isn'the best but he's improved alot and is improving and he doesn't really need wrestling just TDD because his ground game is great and his striking has improved alot like in the jardine fight and and rashad one

Ok thats all well and fine. But tell me his wins? Jardine and who? And Jardine has been talked about being cut from the UFC.

It is like Giant Silva. Bunch of wins in a row, but vs. who? NO ONE. But unlike Silva I see him in top 10 rankings.

Houston Alexander.

And yes, I've also been on the "Thiago Silva is overrated" bandwagon for quite some time now.

His record speaks for itself. He can't beat real good opponents but can beat the bad ones or average ones. He is a decent fighter that I doubt will ever be elite. He isn't higher than 8-10 in the UFC and is out of the top 10 if you include all promotions.

I was never a fan of his.

When the UFC hype machine kicked in for him I never bought into it at all.

Dont get me wrong he is a great high level gatekeeper for the LHW division. He isnt top 5, probably never will be.

Congratulations you won!
