quarry vs credeur was awesome and you could throw in nog vs randy

Epic battle. I've always been a fan of competitive fights.
Domination's are not good fights. They're just good performances.

For me it depends on who is fighting. If its one of my favorite fighters, I prefer a beatdown so I dont get all worked up and nervous and can just enjoy the fight.
If its two of my favorite fighters facing each other OR its two guys I dont particularly care for, then I prefer a close epic battle.
Its actually interesting that there is a thread for this because I often found myself saying "I dont really care who wins because (I really like both guys/I dont particularly care for either guy) but I just want a close competitive fight" and I didnt realize it until I read this thread.

Personally I like both - dominations AND epic battles, depending on who's fighting

I love watching close epic battles. However, when a fighter I really love absolutely desimates his opponent, I can't help but smile all the way through. It's alot easier on the nerves that way.

Shame all the recent epic battles haven't really involved cream of the crop fighters. I would give my right nipple for a full 5 round epic title battle. Shogun vs Machida came close but the last 2 rounds were poo.

I liked the last 2 rounds. I really liked that fight. Expect a re-watch thread about the show here soon.
Shogun vs Machida was insanely close. I can't stand when people say that Shogun was robbed. He wasn't. Machida won that fight. He just didn't get to be as dominant as he normally was. Great performance from Shogun.

I like close epic battles. I mean I love watching GSP own whoever he fights. But fights like Chuck/Wandy are definitely my favorite.
