I can see Macdonald going the distance! But I think Rich will knock him out Nate Quarry style!

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

I think this is much better for Franklin. Hell fight a guy who has his name out there but in my eyes hasnt really proven himself. I mean seriously beating Chris Leben and Ed Herman does not make you a serious contender in my eyes.

This is pretty homoriffic, why does the ex champ get to go out and fight one of the top contenders he lost he should have to work up the rankings, i still wanna see Chris and Rich go at it if you ask me!! WHAAAAT!

For most of you, ignorance is bliss, but for me it's about the truth.

Lol, thats what Anderson did, he walked in and killed Leben, and got to fight Rich, and KILLED HIM!! If anything he has proven himself ready for Anderson. You are really doubting him and what he can do.

I think he's going to have a nice will walk right threw Rich, just like GSP walked right threw Matt.

What's up with UFC not giving automatic rematches to the champions (Hughes and Franklin) after losing their belts? I really hope the new champions don't screw up the rematches with the ex-champions by losing right away.

It's not really fair, if the number # contender lost he would have to battle back up, why not the champs? It's gives you more insentive to keep the belt, and it gives you more insentive not to lose.

I think that McDonald and Franklin shoot be a good match for the sole fact that there is so much at stake for both fighters , one looking to get his career back on track and one looking for the fast-track (potentially) to the top.

erm cabby ........

http://www.mmaforum.com/ufc-discussi...macdonald.html

Either way, like I said in the other thread, I'm not sure Rich has the tool to dispose of MacDonald. I've never considered him a REAL talent. He schooled Leasueouioe which was a surprise to me but if he comes up against someone who can handle a shot & then takes you down to a good ground game then I think he'll be f*cked. I've just never thought Franklin was much of a champ. A good fighter yes but not belt holding material.
