never seen it before, very cool! amazing to see roy doing so well (not so much in the beginning, but after the 2:30 mark he finds his rhythm) against a guy with such a size and strength advantage. he passes mir's guard pretty easily a couple of times and nails a lot of sweeps as well. I think Mir gassed pretty early because roy really controlled him for the latter half of the fight.

great find man!

edit: at the end, i couldn't tell, did he finish him with an arm triangle or was that a win on points? I couldn't see mir's other arm so I don't know if he tapped or if time just ran out.

awesome, never seen that before great find, imagine seeing two HWs grappling like that in the UFC, it would be awesome, it was a good back n forth match. Anyone notice Brandon Vera in the background? i think Roberet Drysdale was there too but not sure

Man if Mir didn't gas he would've crushed Nelson. That match was all Mir until he ran out of Juice. Kimura/Armbar from half guard was ******* siiiiick. Too bad he got his footing a little messy or that would've been done. I'd love to see these two fight now. When was this? I imagine it was quite some time ago.

I am not sure why people are conviced Mir would beat Nelson in a grappling contest if he had a better gas tank. Nelson looked quite comfortable against Jeff Monson when they fought and Monson is a far better grappler than Frank Mir.

Because of how much he was tooling him at the beginning of that video maybe? Or how he was still sweeping him and damn near subbed him (twice) when he was already gassed. Mir is just bigger, stronger and far more explosive (on the ground) than Roy. Also, Mir was getting trips and takedowns and tosses whenever he felt like he wanted to until the end of that.
