If Kongo loses could it be the end of his UFC career?

Kongo faces Buentello at the next UFC event, at the moment he's coming off two losses, sometimes a third consecutive loss can mean the end of a fighters time in the UFC. With that in mind, however, both his losses are from the two top HW contenders at the moment, so will this affect whether he gets cut?

I don't think it'd mean the end of his career, but it'd definitely solidify him as a gate-keeper, a label he's long fought to rid himself of. Losing to Cain and Mir is hardly the end of the world, but losing to a journeyman, albeit a very tough fighter in Buentello, well... that's a little more difficult to dismiss.

UFC wont cut him, he would be too valuable to strikeforce and make their HW division better.

I dont think the UFC will be cutting any of it's gatekeepers with the emergence of Strikforce.

Kongo would be a great pick-up for SF if it happens, which I dont think it will.

Congratulations you won!

I HIGHLY doubt Kongo is going to lose but if he does, he'll definitely still be around. He just won't be seen as a top fighter anymore.

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

Naa the UFC won't cut him, even after a loss to Buentello. But I really don't see him losing this one anyway.

As much as I love Buentello as a fighter because he always comes to the octagon as looks for the KO blow, and he always has a great amount of respect for the sport and other fighters, he is the kind of fighter that will stand with Kongo and try to out strike him, he always fights in such a way that ether he is going to get the KO or get KO'ed.

For that reason as mush as I want to see Buentello win this fight I can't see him out striking Kongo, but i am really looking forward to this one, should be a really good show

WAR Buentello
