I think the only champion UFC would privately tell you they want to replace is Tim Sylvia, since a main event with just him can't sell a PPV since he's not that exciting a fighter or personality.

What UFC is doing is increasing the level of competition. This small pond is betting bigger, so these fish that ruled when the pond was small, are going to find out just how good they really are when UFC starts letting some big fish in.

BTW, I thought the champions deserved immediate rematches too. However, moneywise UFC wants to build their champions back up as it'll make for a bigger anticipated rematch in the future.

2007 is going to to be awesome for UFC with Hughes/GSP rematch, Frankin/Silva again, Crocop/Syvlia, and Rampage/Chuck.

I do not think they are tring to replace anyone as champ. They just want the best of the best in the UFC. People are always saying the UFC is not up to par...Well at least they are tring to up the level of competion. I can't wait to see some of these fights yall have mentioned.

He is just my favorite fighter. One day he will be a top notch fighter. No shame in having a favorite fighter that is not at the top yet is there? I am usually not the band wagon type.

I work with a guy named joe riggs.. kinda funny cause when he was hired before I met him I saw the name on the schedule .. I was wondering if his fighting carear was going down the toilet... but I did not really think it was him though it would have been cool..
