Do you think UFC wants new champs?

I think UFC is looking for new belt holders. Why and What proof I have to back this up you ask? Well, just look at franklin and hughes. Ever since they lost their belts, there has been no talk for a rematch. Maybe UFC fans were just getting tired of watching these same guys winning over everyone all the time. I think UFC is bringing in a new top fighters for every dvision to take the belts away.

Silva
Cro cop
Rampage

There goes possible 3 new possible future champions. Cro cop can easily win HW, Rampage has allready beaten liddell, so why not the 2nd time? Well the spider is allready the champion. They tried bringing back lil evil (past champion), but he didnt exactly .. well.. win. So what do u guys think? Do you think UFC is bringing in new fighters because they think that will bring in more money because lets face it, how many times is liddell gonna face tito and bablu? its been twice allready.. 3 is a possible no no. I think Rampage and Cro cop will be getting title shots soon like mr silva. Bye bye liddell and Slyvia (THANK GOD).

Actually Hughes and St. Pierre was already Scheduled but it changed after GSP hurt his knee. Hughes got bumped back because Serra earned his shot.
and Rich Franklin gets his rematch after he fights Macdonald, if he wins.
So how can you say no talk of a rematch?

Sure the UFC is bringing in new fighters, but not necessarily with the purpose of defeating the current champions, but simply to have entertaining bouts.

The same fighters facing eachother all the time would get stale no matter how good they were.

A guy that held a title for three years straight would be exciting to watch if he was constantly defending against new quality opponents. That's why the UFC needs to bring in guys like Rampage Jackson, Andersen Silva, Crocop, and let's hope for Wanderlei...

Dana knows how most fans feel about Tim. Even Tim knows, that poor bastid. I'm not going to taek any credit away from him. He got there. It was ugly but nobody could silence him. It's only natural to get someone in there with real fire power. AA has it too but the more the merrier

I'd make a safe bet that a chat between Liddell and Dana was a big reason the decision was made to bring in Jackson. I think Liddell has made his mark with the fighters in UFC and wanted to get his rematch with Rampage.

Rampage wanted a rematch with Eastman before fighting anyone else.

Mirko wants to be the beat the best. The 'best' UFC has to offer is Silvia.

It looks like everyone will get their wish except Tim.

Wouldn't that be the point of running this business?

um yeah. they just want the best fighters period, the most exciting fights. honestly i think theyd rather have consistant belt holders because they invest a lot of money into marketing fighters and getting their names out into the public. people like having someone they know to chear for. if the ufc built someone like liddell up to be the best fighter ever and they brought in someone who totally crushed chuck, theyd lose a little credibility no?

Well, they're trying to make the most money...it's THAT simple.

Luckily bringing in the best fighters is often the best way to do this.

My Top 5

(0. Fedor)
1. Cro Cop
2. GSP
3. Mauricio RuA
4. Quinton Jackson
5. BJ Penn
