Diego's next fight

Does anyone have any idea when it will be? Matt Hughes says they are saving him for a title shot, but with GSP injured it might be a while. I'm thinking he has to fight between now and his title shot. But who would he fight? Excluding Matt Hughes, everyone in the division is a step down for him.

Your Thoughts?

I agree completely. WIth BJ going down to 155 to fight Jens Pulver and GSP injured, everyone will be a step down for Diego....except Matt Hughes...who you said to exclude so yes, everyone is a step down. Riggs was a huge step down for Diego IMO and I felt that way before the KO. I would love to see Diego v. Karo II but that needs some more time and will mean that much more after the tear Karo is going to go on this year. Jon Fitch and Kos are great but not ready for Diego. Drew Fickett would get served. Thiago Alves got busted. Yeah, no one is ready for Diego right now. I wish they would have Hughes fight Diego or Karo now.

A groan of tedium escapes me...

They might as well give him another step down type fight as there is no other option right now........unless he would somehow get Hughes.

I say let him and Kos go at it. I would not mind seeing Kos's died rug get beat again. Perhaps make him look a little less like a monkey too

I don't know about the Kos vs Diego fight. I think Kos's superior wrestling and new and improved GAP and Striking (even though he hasn't really shown it yet) would be trouble for diego. I could see the fight going either way. It will be a better rematch after diego gets a shot at the champ and Koscheck impresses.

All koscheck does is take the person down and lay on them, with the ground game Diego has, he could find a way to get Kos, and it seems Diego standup is dangerous after taking riggs out, and i sure would love to see Kos get his *** handed to him.

Cool, glad to hear he's still got some game. I do think him vs. Diego would be an interesting fight.

Diego is 19-0, Kos just got started. DIEGO WOULD KILL KOS. Diego has beaten some very good fighters without one single let down. All kos has done is lay on a bunch of cans. Kos is a boring 1 dimentional wrestler and Diego is a real MMA fighter.

Hughes should fight Karo next, I think Karo would win.

i think kos is the only guy for him to really to fight. matt hughes would have mde since, if bj was still at 170 that would have been a great test. tyson griffen cuts down to 155, he could maybe be a good opponent. tey could always throw him josh haynes. he said he was cutting down to 170. it would be interesting to see how diego does with a guy that size. its a tough call. im sure whatever it is will be something that pisses us all off.
